  • I need some help, and you look like you may have the answer.I have the m13 which I run using the 4 cable method into my effects loop of my amp,and I have A looper like yours but its the jamman.Anyway the looper also has to be ran into the effect loop to work properly, but the amp only has 1 effects loop and if I try to run it into the m13 then when I overdub and use effects they come through my 1st track

too which also won't work. Is there anything that you know of that will work? Thank you.

  • @caincolesr I would not put your looper pedal in the effects loop of your amp or through the m13. I'm pretty sure no company would make a looper product that could only play through an FX in/out. This is what your chain of pedals should look like in general: Guitar-->tuner-->overdrive pedals-->other effects (phasers, chorus, delays, reverbs)--> then have your looper be last in the chain. It has to be last if you want to capture all the effects you want to record. I hope this helps.

  • @Bsummers89 well , what I use the looper for is to play A rhythem section without effects and then overdub A solo into it with some o.d. and effects. So on 1 loop I would want no effects and then overdub with dist. and effects. How can I do that?. The only way I have found is by running my m13 straight intro the front of the amp or any effects and then my looper in the amp effects loop, which I don't like because I need my time based fx in the amps fx loop. I may have to buy some fx loop pedal.

  • Man; you have a very sweet rig and with the LIne 6 M13 just creates a whole new spectrum of possibilities. Very nice!!!

  • Putting the M13's power supply right above the inputs usually creates a lot of hum coming through the pedal. So if you're having hum, that's probably why. Also, why do you have the Boss RC-20 when the M13's looper works great? Do you like the Boss one more?

  • @iscareuiknowit

I'll have to move the power supply and see if that does much. I usually don't have too much hum but it does at times. Did you mean my power supply being plugged into my voodoo power plus 2 in the extra plug by chance?

As for the loopers, the boss has way more options and way more storage. I have the F5-5U connected to the RC-20 so I can switch different between different recordings and everything is kept on the same tempo.

  • @Bsummers89 I was talking about the included M13 power supply. I used to have mine where yours is and it made a lot of white noise, but once I moved it, it went away. That is the power supply between the tube screamer and the sparkle drive, right?

  • @iscareuiknowit Yeah it is. I'll have to check that out. Thanks for letting me know. I'll have to let you know how it turns out.

  • @Bsummers89 Yes please do because I'm curious if this is only an issue I'm having or if its common.

  • @iscareuiknowit I moved things around and I didn't experience any more or less hum. Maybe the hum you are experiencing is only found with your particular model and charger that came with it?

  • @Bsummers89 Maybe it is just mine, but its certainly coming from the power supply. I can hold it in my hand and move it back and forth and here this buzzing come in and then going away as I move it. Its irritating when you're trying to organize a very space conscious pedalboard and I have to have the power supply at least a foot away from the M13. I guess you're lucky to have avoided it. Thanks for your response.
