Actually, FEAR is fairly easy to understand. A killer named Paxton Fettle is being controlled by his mother Alma who is actually dead but had a strong enough psychic signature that she could move around freely as a psychic embodiment. You figure out that you are the brother Paxton and have to kill him. After doing so, a scientist who feels sympathy for Alma releases her and she chases after you since you have a strong psychic signature. You end up nuking the lab but she survives and kills you.

In episode 2, you are a guy with a naturally strong psychic signature and you have to see what's going on in another lab not too far from the first game's lab. You find someone, I think Genevieve, and she says she'll help you but Alma finds you and Genevieve disappears because of an illusion. You then see an atomic explosion in the distance from the first game but you end up waking up in a hospital. You then exit the hospital after a few hauntings from Alma and I think those seizure zombie guys

After escaping the hospital you follow a source from a guy named Snakefist to an elementary school that trains psychic children in secret. After finding him, he is killed and you leave the school and make your way to a psychic amplifying machine that Snakefist mentions in a video he gives you. On the way there, Keegan ends up falling for Alma and he disappears. You make your way to the amplifier and Alma begins to rape you while you begin to get in fight with a hallucination of Keegan.

After killing keegan you turn the amplifier on and Alma leaves. However, right before you get enough power to kill her, she forces the device open and shows you that you have made her pregnant. She will be able to use the baby as a soldier for her cause. Her cause is unknown though. Maybe revenge.
