Daughter of an Anadin Bother? That is half awesome and half awful, great that you had such a cool mum and depressing that I'm old enough to be your dad! I used to travel all over the place to see the Medics, shame they are only a covers band now.
first saw doctor & the medics at the Oval in Norwich back in 1994 or 1995. then saw then again in 2006 at or ton's annual festival in King's Lynn. awesome performers. & i thought the Doc did pretty well with these vocals, as pretty hard to imitate
I'm a massive fan of The Cult and I also own The Doctor's version of Spirit In The Sky on 12" vinyl from 1986. Personally I think this vid is great! Thanks for posting it.
Saw Dr & The Medics @ Abergavenny in summer 2005 and they were brilliant live!
I used to love this band, but every time I see new footage of the balding doctor and the goofy presence (goofy now in a horrid way), I say this out loud. "Please stop." Shite, David Devant is way better at dress up.
awesome take on this song! I love the cult and this song, I also love doctor and the medics and theyve only made me love this song more! I swear I should have been alive in the 80s!!
To be honest I remember when the spirit in the sky hit the charts and shortly after Burn... but since that I hadnt listened to anything of theirs until when I took this video at Christchurch quay, and I must say I thought they were great... I have listened to this video countless times since I put in youtube.
Musically I always thought they were so much better than the covers they always became famous for. There is some DAMN good song writing and musicianship on their albums. They thrive in the studio... and I do love those Adian Brothers... sirens in the night..
Wow, one of my favorite bands play a favorite song of one of my other favorite bands hahaha
