the oem of this gun is vfc. echo 1 never makes guns of there own and they resist to admit. echo 1 also is made up mostly of jg for the m4 m16 mp5 and there ak47 and 74s are from cyma there snipers are from well.

Most fields are 400FPS limit...Luckly i know how a gearbox works so i can change spring myself :) but does anyone have a good recommendation for what spring will give me just under 400FPS? (NOT 350 or 370 but around 380 - 390)

@FlyinMonkeysFTW I was thinking the same thing, but it gives the gun really good compression, so I decided to keep it on mine. Plus it gives it a nice sound.

This is basically a VFC M4 E-Series.

I will stress that this is NOT a clone/rebrand, but a collaboration between VFC and Echo-1.

VFC made all the parts except the receiver, shipped those parts to America, and then Echo-1 assembled it in the states.

The reason it's more expensive is because of the custom receiver, American assembly and QC, the case, 2 mags, and the rear wiring/crane stock

i have an e1 and it is a decent gun for the price. sorry im not a rich boy and can drop 400 on a gun. i re bilt my e1 and it has destroyed any thing that has come my way.

Wow, if you're going to choose your gun based on a shity case you might as well just not play airsoft. Do some research, the KWAs have ROCK solid internals. This E1 Platinum has decent-good internals but they're not the best. Then again, this is a budget gun(I think, E1 rebrands budget JGs or VFC this time) so it doesn't need the most amazing internals.

first off, the case is actually a vfc case, so its not utter crap. from what I have seen, the internals on this new echo 1 seem very nice, and without you even seeing it, I really don't think that you should say that they are worse than kwa. the kwa probably does have better internals, but we will have to wait and see until someone other than E1 actually tests this gun. also, kwa internals have their faults too, they have an incompatible air nozzle, and self shimming gears.

the self shimming gears work but for a perfect build, they are really not the greatest choice. also, I know that kwa's

2gx guns are amazing, but earlier models did have problems with cracking gearbox shells, so I wouldn't say that they are perfect. kwa definitely has had its faults too.

The KWA doesn't self-shim, the gears fit perfectly inside so no shims are needed xD.
