Shame Glasgow council have seen fit to trash so much of its superb Victorian Heritage over the last 50 years. Now they've done with that they're onto 20thC buildings. Though that's a good thing.

@derwent There's a great bit in Billy Connolly's World Tour of Scotland where he stands outside the Provand's Lordship and remarks that it's been standing for 100s of years and is still in perfect condition. Then he takes a stroll along a council estate where some buildings built in the 60s are condemned and falling to bits!

Glasgow is famous for it's high rise flats. I love them. It creates a great atmosphere all around you. Now that they are taking them down the city will loose it's great touch. It's a shame.
