The book is titled The Case for the Creator (or something along those lines) by Lee Strobel. I myself do not have the knowledge to argue your point or defend the other person, but hopefully you'll check this book out and actually read it with an open mind and I pray it changes your perspective. I believe God(whatever you call it) used humans to write the holy books of religions but man took it upon himself over thousands of years to alter what he wanted.Now the modern day holy books (the bible especially) are just scrap books mixed with truth,alterations,and misinterpretations.

A theory in science isn't the same thing as a theory in everyday language. A theory in science is the highest rank an idea can have. Evolution occurs, that is a FACT. The workings of how it occurs is the theory.
Sort of how things falling down is a fact, but the workings of it are explained by the theory of gravity.
