  • lmao look at that hair!

  • Lyn-Wood Hon-da EXPERIENCE THE DIFFERENCE!!!!

  • funny how his shooting form (jumper and free-throw) havent changed at all. and his running aswell, still a little bit girly :D

  • @matyuli i thought i was the only to recognize that lol

  • Comment removed

  • Enes Kanter from Turkey beat his record of 33 points last year with 34. We have a new European star coming and he is only 18!

  • That haircut was cash.

  • Enes is a different player than Dirk. Enes will be a Kevin Love type guy in the NBA. He is a safe pick with a high cieling. He has a higher cieling than Kevin Love. He is much more athletic than Love. He will be a multiple All Star top 30 player in the NBA. He might be worth #1 over Irving.

  • Dirk's first year was a lockout season... he talked about this after winning his Championship. He was always confident, and his work ethic is robotic and meticulous... he drains shots like nothing at all... I've watched him knock down shot after shot back to back to back to back to back... Dirk is out of his mind... Enes who ?

  • lol bowlcut

  • lol hairs

  • now champion :D

  • u kinda always 4get that hes a 7 footer

  • this guy is a pure example on how hard work eventually would get you somewhere. He is not supposed to be this good

  • Best from Germany....

    Best from Europe....

One of the best in the NBA....

  • @catalyst4thought great correction.

  • wow, he hasnt changed anything, he was unguardable all the way down (except his hair, thanks God).

  • he has deserved the NBA Title 2011

  • Dirk The Destroyer !

  • that bowl cut has me dying over here

  • how did get selected in the draft with that haircut? lol ....

  • @Francozilla : Enes Kanter = 34 Points!!! And he is TURKISH!

  • The real Mr. Big Shot and the most underrated player in the NBA. As a Celtics I hate when we play the Mavericks because of this guy.

  • Bad hair do ballers!

  • i love how dallas thought they were getting a bust but boy were they wrong

  • bowl cut ftw

  • ~Dirk had epic hair~

  • the turkish young player ENES KANTER has broken Nowitzki's record !!!!!!!

  • @EASTANBULxxxTURKISH Big difference, Nowitzki led his team to WIN, Kanter's team LOST. NONE of Turkey's players can compare to Nowitzki, NOT EVER.

  • @indianwhite idiot world team coach kept Enes Kanter in the game only 24 minutes in above game if that time was 35+ minutes you would have seen he would have single-handedly win the game. that is also a big difference that you don't realize.he broke this record in 24 minutes but not played enough to win the game. get your facts right. Dirk's first years in Nba was disaster, then he improved a lot over time. In near future Enes can be as good as Novitzki. He is up and coming. wait and see.

  • Dirk set the record for points (33) and rebounds (14) in this game, and also had 3 steals. He shot 6 of 12. The point record stood for 11 years and was broken by a kid who scored 34 points, but had to make 13 out of 21 shots to do so. 21 shots is a record for shot attempts and 13 is a record for made shots. The current record holder had to make 1 more shot than Dirk took, just to beat his point record by 1 point.

  • @BeerDrinkersUnited well yeah but u have to notice 13 of 21 is 61% shooting and 6 of 12 is 50% dirk can make 3s.... Kanter cant but either way they were both very good percentages doesnt matter if he took more shots he was efficient

  • @DontHat3Appr3ciat3 Both had huge games, but Dirk's game was a miniature version of game 1 of the WCF, except he had more than twice as many rebounds and three times as many steals in the hoop summit game.

  • @BeerDrinkersUnited in no way am i saying that this Turkish guy is even close to Nowitzky im just saying that the kid had a good game and people shudnt try to compare him to dirk till he is in the league for at least 3 years

  • @DontHat3Appr3ciat3 I was just drawing a contrast between two record setting Hoop Summit performances.

  • @DontHat3Appr3ciat3 You can not compare apples and oranges. Dirk is an NBA veteran and all star. But we can compare 18 y/o Dirk with 18y/o Enes Kanter. Based on Nike Hoop Summit performances here is the stat comparison:

    Dirk 33 points 14 rebounds MVP 1998

    Enes 34 points 13 rebounds MVP 2010

Dirk is a superstar, but Enes showed that he has a similar potential in the future. he is up and coming and can be a legit 7 footer in next couple of years too as he has just turned 19 in May 20.

  • @Altar1919 well put

  • @Altar1919 comparing Enes ... no... comparing ANY player to Dirk Nowitzki... is moronic.... Dirk is one of the 25 highest point scorers in NBA history.... is one of two people to score 30+ pts and 15+ rebounds in 4 consecutive playoff games (the other being Kareem) ...the only player ever to score 100+ blks and 150+ 3's in one season (obviously - who does that).. NBA champion as THE cornerstone... most most indefensible shot in the sport today. Quick hands... Just a concoction of greatness, STOP

  • @Altar1919 There is no such thing as "similar potential" when it comes to standout ATG's like that... one of the most efficient players in the NBA ever ...one of 5 players in the 50-40-90 club ...with almost 100 more freethrows attempted than the guy with the second most on that list (Bird) ... There is no such thing as "similar potential" to Dirk... MJ was 3rd pick in the draft... you don't KNOW how legendary folks will be... Enes will NEVER be a Dirk Nowitzki, think about what that implies.

  • @quenquen411 hey you are contradicting yourself in the same sentence man. have some logic and come here "you don't KNOW how legendary folks will be" then you say "Enes will NEVER be a Dirk Nowitzki" you yourself say nobody can know what future will be then you give a very deterministic judgement. Who are you? Are you GOD? Or you have angels or some connections with GOD? How come can you know the future? How come you can say this will NEVER happen or will happen? you are funny.

  • @Altar1919 not a contradiction, but a simple probability... I'd bet a billion dollars on Enes NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER being anything as great as Dirk has been and become. The probability of Enes being as comparable to Dirk (an in turn the 50 greatest NBA players EVER) is about 1 in a million. Lol... I probably didn't make it clear but, MJ showed... what makes a LEGEND isn't something you can predict. Dirk is a LEGEND, therefore holds no grounds to be mentioned alongside Dirk.

  • @quenquen411 you are too much prejudiced and brainwashed about Dirk. It might be right Enes maybe will not be Dirk maybe he will be something different and maybe he will be better than Dirk. Because he has a couple of things Dirk doesn't have: post game, excellent rebounding and physical toughness. I believe if he utilize these potentials and work hard on his game he can be an all star player.

  • @quenquen411 what makes a LEGEND isn't something you can predict. lol and then never never never. once again you are in contradiction with your own claim. Are you a fortuneteller to know that Enes will or will not be a legend? Have some logic you are just writing without thinking like a brainwashed religious person.

  • @quenquen411 Why are you telling Dirk to me I am already his fan and like him and wanted him to be champ instead of three amigos. Are you brainwashed or what 18 y/o Dirk and 18 y/o Enes on the paper showed similar potentials against best players of USA in their specific times. this is a fact, but obviously this might be or might not be same in the future we will see, whether Enes will show same, similar, inferior or superior performance in NBA. Nobody knows that YET time will tell.

  • @Altar1919 I don't know what your talking about... listen to me, read this slowly.... Enes doesn't belong in the same sentence as Dirk.. there is no such thing as "similar potential" ... all the things that makes Dirk a legend are things you can't just hypothesize on... it's just wrong. Dirk holds records with Kareem and Bird... meanwhile, Carlos Arroyo has played out of his mind for his national team. Don't mention Enes with Dirk... it's disrespectful on all grounds. Period

  • @quenquen411 Enes at same age(18 y/o) showed same potential and broke Nowitzkis 11 years old scoring record in Nike Hoop Summit. with almost same dominance and stats. this is a fact and nobody knows what future holds for him he can be an all star, legend, a failure. Nobody knows yet. Every legend can be talked about, criticized and compared Dirk is not an exception. This is not disrespect. Don't try to impose your brainwashed, prejudiced opinions on others.

  • @Altar1919 I think you're the one that's brainwashed... you can't sit hear and try to act like Enes should be uttered in the same breath as Dirk because he had a great game similar to Dirk back in the day... It takes a career of that kind of showing to be compared to a Legend... it's just too silly to not go against... You gotta stop this. Not only do we not know if he will be as good, as you say, but the very likelihood is miniscule at best. Why even go there ? It's really random. Stats or no

  • @quenquen411 You are obviously a diehard Dirk fan and there is nothing wrong about that I like him too. but I am not obsessed by him, he is a human being like us he is not untouchable. I am observing that you are seeing him like a god or something. Even the legends can be criticized. is there rule saying you can not? Secondly I made a posting 1 week ago saying you can not compare oranges with apples. Apparently you haven't understood and or read it.

  • @quenquen411 Simply I wanted to say it would be naive and unfair to compare an NBA veteran and superstar with a potential NBA player who has not been even drafted yet. Here is the point you can only compare comparable things. Considering the age & experience difference you can only compare 18 years old Dirk with 18 y/o Enes. And they have played the same game at same age against best US players so this is a common ground to make a comparison. Nobody is comparing MVP Dirk with undrafted Enes.

  • @Altar1919 you say it's unfair and naive to compare the living legend to the undrafted prospect, then in the same post say compare comparable things ? well comparing 18yr old Dirk to Enes is basically not even comparing Enes to Dirk... he put in the work, and those are his motor skills and brainpower at work... you can't emulate something like that... my point is, why compare ? that's not even a logical comparison. My point is, what's the point ?

  • @quenquen411 the point is Enes Kanter is considered as a potential talent and looked into by NBA some people are thinking he might be an impact player in the future. What he has done in Nike Hoop Summit has attracted attention of NBA. Everybody is questioning whether can he turn out to be an impact player in the future or not. If the record you break belongs to superstar called Dirk Nowitzki then everybody asks who is this guy? what is his potential? It is simply searching for future potential

  • @Altar1919 I understand... you're not saying he has potential to be like Dirk off this limited amount of "proof" ...you're just saying he broke a legends record... I get it... obviously he isn't even in the same mold of play as Dirk... the comparison would be lazy... but you're just saying he did something kinda special... I gotcha.

  • @Altar1919 anyway. you can criticize who you want, but no, you can't utter comparisons to legends under such fickle situations... that's just ignorant... period point blank. Even Lebron has proved to have been overstated with MJ comparisons that at least he work a long trail to earn.

  • @quenquen411 if you put Enes Kanter and Novitzki in google they are already coming together.

In terms of performances from individual European players at the Nike Hoop Summit, two in the history of the annual game stand out from the rest: Those of Dirk Nowitzki in 1998 and Enes Kanter last year.

Dirk’s monster 33-point, 14-rebound performance in a 104-99 International Team win was all the proof the Milwaukee Bucks (and surely a few other would-be suitors) needed to draft the big German.

  • @quenquen411 But Nowitzki’s record scoring show would be topped in Portland 12 years later when Kanter was seen by many American basketball enthusiasts for the first time. In an absolutely dominant performance, Kanter went 13-of-21 from the floor for 34 points to go with 13 rebounds, breaking Nike Hoop Summit records for field goal attempts, field goals made and points scored – in just 24 minutes of court time.

  • @DontHat3Appr3ciat3 People should NEVER compare him to Dirk........... EVER.... think about what that means... lol

  • @DontHat3Appr3ciat3 Enes Kanter has stroke and range up to NBA threes. Watch his last video in YouTube"Enes Kanter NBA Draft Workout with Tim Grover presented by SLAM and CityLeagueHoopsTV " You will see he can shoot. His midrange % is 78% recorded in NBA draft combine and others are also around 50%.

  • this is where Dirk dropped 40popints on what the the NBA and America's best

  • nike hoops summit is the a junior event, so no NBA ballers...but still America's best up and comers

  • Lol, they showed him this videos and he was so embarrased.

He dont even looked at the TV when he saw himself :D

But hes rly a great player, I like him.
