you keep saying its a skateboard but its a longboard (there is a difference between the two) also the wheels you are using are longboard wheels (longboard wheels are 60mm and up, regular skateboard wheels are anything below 60mm depending on the durometer) Not all boards are "skateboards" some have specific names and are used for specific things.

@lorddragongo when refering to any kind of skateboard or longboard as a hybrid it means that it is made of many different types of materials (wood, foam core, etc.), not the shape. there are only really two types of skateboard decks, the old school style or as it is more commonly known a pool deck, and the street deck which are the most used. so by shape and size of the board you built it would be classified as a longboard.

Actually not countersinking is better because when you tighen your trucks it will pull the bolts into the board and as u ride it will go further and further in untill it is flush with the top with actually makes it stronger because it compresses the wood instead of just getting rid of it.
