You either have to raise taxes or cut spending. This is the reason why the defecit grew from 5 trilliong to 10 trillion. Now the interest on the National debt is 31% of the Federal Budget. To balance the budget revenue = spending. To reduce the defecit revenue > spending. Second, Republicans historically cut taxes by forcing increase on other taxes e.g. fuel, state, use, local etc. Taxes were higher under Reagan than under Clinton.

If a baby is born to a mother who doesn't want it or is not ready to raise a child it ruins two lives: the mother's life and the life of the child who is raised in an unloving and unsupportive environment. If you abort a baby you aren't ruining any lives at all, aborting a baby is no worse than using a condom.

You weren't going to vote for Barack, but I'll explain the "partial birth" thing for ya. He opposed the bill, along with the IL Board of Health, because its already part of the Hippocratic oath and already a law. The other bill he opposed was the one that wanted a permanent ban on late term abortions. He was opposed to this because it did not clarify that a mother could choose late term abortion if her own life was at risk. Go back to the debate where McCain put the quotes around "health."
