In short Idealism creates conflicts needing to be resolved only for new, conflicts to arise.

After watching a few times, I had this thing in my head, but now I'll finally ask it:

HCBailly, the battles you show onscreen for some reason are 3x longer in the Target Time thingy after it's over. Does that have anything to do with the battle speed adjusts?

@SamHetfieldProducts Uhm, I don't fully understand what you mean, but the Target Time (TT) is an indicator to the LIMIT you are required to finish the battle in order to have a 3-star score (basically 10k). The Battle Duration (BD) is your actual battle time. The calculation goes like this : 10k + (TT - BD) * PPS (Points per Second). So you finish under TT you get points, you score over TT you lose points. For ex in the AMAM battle you have 10k + (197-34)*50 = 10k + 8150 = 18150 as his score.

Hey HCBailly, I'm not sure if anyone's asked this or not, but when you have the Growth Egg equipped, does it affect the CP value after the battle or is the x2 multiplier factors in after the fact? For example, say a battle gave you 10,000 CP. With the Growth Egg, would 20,000 CP be displayed instead of 10,000, or would the battle results show 10,000 CP, and then factor it in after the battle?

That Grand Prix cutscene gives me goosebumps every time I watch it from being so epic.

Also, I've heard a lot about people complaining the whole sequence has nothing to do with the story but I think the developers put it in to show how sheltered the people of Cocoon really are. Even though the supposed l'Cie threat is present, the Primarch/fal'Cie do a good job at covering it up and placing blame on the danger of Pulse, at least most of the time.

Officially further than I have been in the game myself at this point, I refused to leave pulse till all missions done. XD So, everything now is new to me, and I just loved that cut scene. Truly epic. And unlike others, I am glad that entire part was not a play through, because it really shows a side to the Eidolon-L'cie fighting through that battle mechanics simply cannot do justice. There is a time for proper playing, and a time for showing off eye candy. ^.^

I enjoyed this cutscene as well. I feel that the main characters in RPGs rarely "go all out" as they do here with all their Eiodolons.

Man, I was so bad at doing the missions in my first playthrough. I didn't even know those red C'eith barriers existed! Maybe that's why I struggled so much against those motorcyle-thingies in the last chapter. That, and my not using Sentinels. :-)

BTW, the Amam is vulnerable to Fog, which will prevent him from using Storm Conduction and Accursed Breath.

I don't agree with your "Big Three" debuffs. Personally, I like Slow, Curse, and Imperil much better, and - wouldn't you know it - they're all debuffs that Fang can have at this point.

I just think that, at this point, Fang is far superior as a Saboteur because very few enemies have immunity to Slow and Curse from Pulse onward, and those debuffs make the battles much more manageable.

@MonoChromium I'd say Fang becomes more useful upon returning to Cocoon than on Pulse. By the time we get to Pulse, the battles are mostly going by really fast, including the missions, because we have access to the Aurora Scarf and Sprint Shoes. Not to mention, Fang is very poor at chaining. For shorter battles, I feel that my big three make more of an impact. At this point, even average battles become much longer, so Fang's debuffs become more useful.

Just to clarify: The Armies of Pulse are not invading. Everyone on Pulse is dead or Cie'th. Barthandelus released the monsters from the Ark that was hidden in Eden (From Chapter 10) to make it seem like Pulse was invading. That was why the Ark was there in the first place.

I like how this cutscene gives us a little more of the Cocoon culture. Other than maybe Nautilus, there isn't much culture shown because as soon as the game starts its all out war and along the lines of Aristotle, in times of war we can only worry about survival.

Honestly, I never really found the Genji Gloves to be very useful... Even with a maxed out Ultima Weapon (Gladius version) and 4 maxed out Kaiser Knuckles and a 999% chain, I personally found that the only enemies I would actually care about doing over 99 999 damage to, I couldn't, even with all the appropriate buffs and debuffs. Perhaps if I'd chosen to work on Fang more it might be a bit different story, but who knows!

Also @HCBailly Would being maxed out in all of the three base roles, and dabbling in ONE of the secondary roles be enough to take down an Adaman-Thing (Of what ever type is a story battle) Or would I need some special strategy?
