Every time I listen to this song, I imagine myself on a pilgrimage...to where? I've no clue but once those drums kick in in the beginning, it makes it more legitimate. As the song progresses and builds up, my pilgrimage becomes more difficult, yet meaningful. I discover new things and places...This probably makes no sense whatsoever but I can't help thinking that. Happens every time I listen to Bon Iver. It's a soundtrack to the many movies playing in my head.
@violasunflowers I actually have nothing but those beautiful helicopter-landscape-images in my mind... don't know how to put it in a better way... stunning.

Went to their concert in LA not too long ago. It was an amazing show. My first live experience of Bon Iver. Went with a girl I was seeing and her two friends. After the show she went and talked to the security and before I knew it we were outside and she was hugging the lead singer. Turns out she went to high school with him and his brother. Super chill dude he was.
Love these guys, but how the hell do they make any money? They have so many people in the group.. seriously need 2 drummers? lol. I can't imagine how much the trombone player makes after its all divied up.
wow remember the days of bon iver playing by himself with a guitar ... or with tree drummers only? wow his soundscape has certainly grown.. his composing abilities are intact still to justify the bigger band thingy

@piratebri The drummers almost always play different fills, and yeah they're pretty huge so they get by just fine I imagine.
