Ten years old is pretty old school. Also Moltar only host 3 of the 12 year run(97-99). The rest of those years(the years the segmant took off) was during Toms hosting. I recognize Moltar as the original host but I think it would be best to remember him for Space Ghost and not Toonami. Besides, originally this video was me saying that the Move from TOM 3 to TOM 4 would be the death of Toonami and ironically it was. : (

no one said it did, but it did help its downfall. First, Naruto wasnt translated by CN and Toonami, Viz media did the translating and dubbing and issued the licensing. Cartoon network just bought the show and put it on the air. The reason This helped with toonami's downfall is because they put all their resources into this one show trying to pitch it as the next DBZ. CN thought by having this show and crap that Toonami would survive,it didnt, and it didnt catch on like DBZ.
also..Viz did a nice job with the American dub of naruto,Iv read the manga and seen the Japanese subs as well, and the American one is pretty much exact to that of the original :D
In my own opinion shows like Naruto ruined Toonami. More people would rather watch adult swim everynight like Toonami was and I would put my money on just because the censorship. Toonami got childish and Adult Swim got more attention with less censorship.

They were actual explinations as to why TOM changed. TOM1's ship was invaded and after the invasion(which you took part in...I liked it) he changed. then something happened to his ship which explains the upgrade. Then he changed again after another virus or something and then TOM4...just happened :/

Disney has long since been dead. they have nothing either. There is still adult swim and as for Naruto Viz still publishes the manga and Im sure theres DVDs for you as well.

I miss the good old Toonami. I watched it when i was like 4 and it was the best. I waited all week for it to come on. Then they changed him to the mother freaker! I was so angry! to tell the truth im enjoying naruto way more then i did with dbz in dbz it got to repetitive and was little annoying even for a kid like me back then. anyways i belive naruto has a better constructed storyline and a very good theme,yes dbz is legendary but i ahve to say naruto is better(the fillers in naruto dont count)

why did Naruto ruin Toonami huh cartoon network took all the action out of it when they where translating it that's why i watch it on watch it on streaming but i used it to see what episode to watch also but there's no reason why ONE show took down Toonami anyways especially Naruto wouldn't do that!

no one said it did, but it did help its downfall. First, Naruto wasnt translated by CN and Toonami, Viz media did the translating and dubbing and issued the licensing. Cartoon network just bought the show and put it on the air. The reason This helped with toonami's downfall is because they put all their resources into this one show trying to pitch it as the next DBZ. CN thought by having this show and crap that Toonami would survive,it didnt, and it didnt catch on like DBZ.

In my own opinion shows like Naruto ruined Toonami. More people would rather watch adult swim everynight like Toonami was and I would put my money on just because the censorship. Toonami got childish and Adult Swim got more attention with less censorship.

Well I have to agree that Toonami was the best thing Cartoon Network will ever have on its television schedule. Heck i remember when MOLTAR ran the show.
But my point is, that its not completely cartoon network's fault, it's also William Street's fault as well because they RAN TOONAMI. But you have to admit Toonami was going down hill when it ran those crapy shows and leaning to Naruto (Long reason why i hate that show) to keep them on people's good side, mostly kids.

but william street is run by cartoon network, and the shows that are chosen to be aired are all based on what CN feels should be. In a perfect world if people watched the new toonami yes it wouldnt be canceled however like i said before you cant expect people to watch something they dont like. its CN's job to look at the rating and go "oh wow they have gone done, lets fix it"

but that form, set the tone for the audience they were aiming for. The shows followed that age group and quality. People were turned off, there was a time were Toonami was the prime source of fresh anime in America and a launch site for cool original cartoons(Megas XLR and Samurai jack come to mind). There image changed and so did the fans. Its not our fault if we arent liking what Toonami has to offer its theirs there fore its their fault

and the packaging was crap...the shows were sub par the presentation was weak and it was a huge turn off to the fans who had come to know and love TOM. Yes truly its are fault toonami was canceled because when people are loss appeal to something they stop watching ratings go down and shit gets canceled, however its CNs fault for not keeping up with its fanbase!

I may love naruto but I love the old shows too. I will always remember the robot that I thought was annoying but became a huge part of my life. Because him coming on meant awesome television. I can't believe he and all that was on Toonami is gone. I hate Cartoon network for doing that but All good things must come to the end. Good-bye Toonami and Tom... R.I.P.

I think that they tired to make Tom & "Toonami" like a series or something.Kinda with a plot.
I remember they did this thing where they said that tom's ship was being taken over by a virus or something and you could go on cartoon network's website and play as tom & try to out run the virus in a maze or something.I remember his ship exploding & they made a new tom.
It was actually pretty stupid.

They were actual explinations as to why TOM changed. TOM1's ship was invaded and after the invasion(which you took part in...I liked it) he changed. then something happened to his ship which explains the upgrade. Then he changed again after another virus or something and then TOM4...just happened :/
it was silly I guess in some sense but I thought it was pretty cool at the time.

CN has made the most dumbest move in their LIFE!!! CN is dead 2 me now, just for that bullshit they pulled. It's not Toonami's fault that they got cancelled, IT'S CARTOON NETWORK'S FAULT! CN cut back way too many shows that made Toonami. The only thread that kept them hanging on was Naruto because it was it's current DBZ. I'd say CN only has 1 or 2 shows worth watching. All the others, kids wouldn't even watch that bullshit. Adult Swim should just branch out to their own channel and watch CN die
