  • This would be much better than the iPad. But the iPad 2 has a camera, you should make a Newton 2011 to compete with iPad 2, or wate for iPad 3.

  • this would have been another great product

  • Wow I thought this was a real commercial hahaXD. I have an emate i got over ebay and it works great, really nice operating system. You figure out to get this on the market and I'll buy it. lol

  • Ahh... If only the Newton could be revived for real. And no, not as the iPad. That's just a bigger iPod. A Newton is similar, yes, but it's more along the lines of a Palm product than anything else. Handwriting recognition that was better than the Palm's at the time, lots of customization, stability, powerful programs for its time... The Newton really pioneered a lot of things. Now it only it could do it again. :D

  • its called a ipad

  • steve jobs that son of a bitch stole your idea and just made it a maxipad.

  • ipad

  • fake

  • send it in to apple, see what they say..

  • CONGRATS NOW WE HAVE THE IPAD..... no OSX....

  • FUCK NICKELBACK MOTHERFUCKERS

  • NOBODY I mean 0 anyone would advertise with that crappy piece of shit music.

  • buddy it's called an iPhone. they just haven't carried on Newton's name.

  • garageband and iDVD on a PDA? i doubt it :P

    nice video anyway though :D

  • @kasm279 The iPad has iWork, I'm sure you'll get some kind of garageband thing.

  • Yeah, but iDVD wouldn't exactly be the best idea because of missing parts... (firewire for cams and a DVD burner)

  • Newton becuse Apple had a PDA called Newton in the Earl 90s. It would Be so gr8 if Apple brought out à New Newton.

  • Yeah That would really be soo cool if apple would release a new newton :)

    PS: Great Video BTW

  • They already made a new newton the iPod Touch(But was mostly inspired by the iPhone, and the iPhone was inspired by .... you guessed it! the Newton)

  • well if they really were inspired by the newton...............?? main thing is iphone isnt that appropriate for business. the "office" aplication of the newton is so powerful and still able to beat office mobile nowadays. even the sync of newton to computer is so gr8 and accurate, not comparably with the iphone at all.

  • @ntimothyt I agree but Newton with apple has been a dead relationship for years, so that is very unlikely

  • @joseisamacgeek The relations im sure died because of Jobs returning and canning the Newton Project. Thats when I switched to PC's because of my hatred of Jobs for doing that. Viva la Newton!

  • @ntimothyt I still have a Newton MP130 that still works! The Newton platform was so well written (in C++ if you're wondering) that the speeds and battery life are still comparable to PDA's of today. I've have still yet to have seen a handwritting recognition software that can beat it.

  • Way to suck ass, Mr. Sucky McSuckington.

  • that wouldn't be impossible, that thin, with a dual core processor, and maybe nvidia (hope dual) graphics!!!

    that would be heaven!!!

Apple make us a big surprise like this, PLEASEEEEEE!!!!

  • i fink tht comp is a real gd idea, but why newton what has it got to do with newton?

  • "Into the Night" by Nickelback

  • by Carlos Santana ft. Chad Kroeger. sorry, just a big santana fan..

  • hey, who knows thats how the iphone got re-invented because the ppl demanded a

    ipod-pda-cellphone type of device

  • This is no newton, where is the stylus? Where is the Newton OS?

  • the, "new" one.

  • its not a new newton, its not running the Newton OS, and no stylus...

  • Maybe the new one won't have a stylus.

  • if there is no stylus, then how do you expect people to write and draw stuff on it? remember, newton is a digital notepad, not an mp3 player, or a phone... its a PDA.

  • who knows, apple is very creative, when I first heard of the iPhone, with a touch screen, I had no idea hw that would work.

  • There is a newton, it's called an iPhone! :P

  • The iPhone is very different from the Newton.

  • is this real??

  • got to have it

btw to princesstv101 its into the night by Santana with Chad Kroeger

  • apple make it!

  • I have a messagepad 2100. It's so sweet.

  • Whats The Song Called? And BTW nice 5 stars

  • The Newton will NEVER die!!!!

  • Hey Apple, if your watching you should consider this and used the same programming language so it is easier to port programs.

  • Uhm... Stuff is quite good-looking, but commercial... ouch! I think, my dinner is on his way to my screen. BLEH

  • i believe that when me shit turns purple and smells like rainbow sherbet

  • apple tv was a flop for apple. LOL It sucked, i hope future apple tvs dont suck as much as the last one

  • the appleTV is the biggest selling product of its type, the media center / streamer market is very young and will grow a lot, but appleTV outsells all the others put together and apple sells the most video downloads.

  • i know a lot of people bought it but they then regretted it. It sucked (good thing i didn't buy one). I'm hopeing future apple tvs doesn't suck.

  • I bought the 160gb, and I like it. It makes a convenient wireless backup of my media and works well with hdtvs. I just need to get a 500gb in there now.

  • true, but still, you just cant ignore the bad stuff. I wish apple would release a new one.

  • the original is better

  • it could happen

make sure to sue apple if they steal your advert, theyve done it before!

  • When?

  • There would certainly be a market for a remade newton. Especially if it looked like this!

  • 14m3

  • They can't send a man to the moon. That was something the previous generation achieved. We're further from the moon, right now, than we were in 1962.

  • Great ad! I really like it. I actually said wow at the end. Doesn't always happen.

Btw, the description should say, "just something i THREW together." threw being the past participle of throw.

I'd love to see more of these. What did you use to make it?

    Keep up the good work.

  • I wish!

  • nice ad man,and good imagination of recreating the apple newton.

  • Yeah, but could it recognize handwriting? LOL

  • haha, i don't see why not

  • Would be really cool man gotta show apple this

  • what music did you use

  • the Music is "Into the Night" by Santana

  • I want one.......I WANT ONE N O W W W ! ! ! !

  • wwow...i need to buy one LOL

but wait....im confused now...is this newton for real? or is just fiction?

  • The Newton is an old PDA created by Apple a long time ago... this is ElysiumMedia's idea/concept of what the Newton would look like if Apple remade the thing completely.

  • What program did you use to make that?

  • Photoshop and Vegas Movie Studio. I didn't have access to my Mac at the time so it's kinda low quality.

  • low quality man its awsome

  • Lol, They already have that its called the iPhone :P

  • idiot, iPhone can not run mac os x.

  • actually the iPhone and the iPod touch runs Mac OS X hahaha, who is the idiot?

  • I heard Apple is planning on adding copy and paste in a firmware update

  • But does it have copy & paste?

  • yes, select by dragging, touch with two fingers pressed together to display a few commands such as copy and paste

  • Wish the iphone engineers could have thought of that

  • Well it's in it's first generation so we'll see some advancements on the iPhone. A simple Idea would be if you could draw something on any application or on any menu, such as drawing a triangle, and that action makes a command. Lets say that moving your thumb in a circle would change the volume, as if an iPod,but the command works in any menu on the iPhone.

  • This would be against the 'easy-to-use' concept of the iphone/ipod touch..you would have to remember dozens of commands, not very intuitive
