@captgjohnson the thing is with 420 a (stoner) motors is the amount of boost your can put on them yes your can get fordge high comprestion pistons butt that will get it to what a 4g63 is and a 4g63 with fordged high compretion pistons is incredable i would go for the gst but if u can only get the gs go for it sorry for bad spelling

no there are diff motors, the turbo motor is the 4g63t motor, the 420a is the non turbo engine, the 4g63t is the strongest turbo motor in the world to date because it's an iron block, u can push 500hp into it (stock) without it blowing up on u, the 420a honestly is a crap engine, u can boost it but theres a lot of work involved, from 1990 up to 98 is the dsm era, diamond star motors, after that is american made such as the 3rd gen eclipse, which is garbage, hope this helps...

90-94 are the real best years, ive heard tho the newer DSMs (95-99) are alrite as long as ya look at the GST's. is it true tho that the turbo models are a HELLOVAlot better than the N/A ones? ive heard horror stories of people dumping like 5K into em just to keep em runnin...can anybody shed some light on the subject?
