HEY i was thinking of getting this i saw it at a pawn shop except in white and was wondering does this give the sound like all strats and hows that humbucker at the bottom near the bridge i dont know what its called and would this give the john mayer sound because thats what im lookinng for.

@KIDLATglp It sounds like any other standard stratocaster. The humbucker at the bridge adds a tad bit of meat but nowhere near close to something like a Les Paul so it still retains a Fender vibe. If anything you can always replace the pickups with what John uses.

Actually I had bought the neck a while ago for my Squier but the neck heels were off a bit. The neck I scored used for about $115 and the a year later I scored the body on eBay during this crazy sale for $260. The neck was a used Mexican Fender neck from 1997 and the body came fully loaded brand new with pickups and hardware

@yellofury Why are you playing through a bass amp? It's not designed for that frequency range.

@MitchRulzWorld its the only working amp I have at the moment

and for the volumes I use it works fine. I would be more concerned about a bass being played through a guitar amp. For the most part I use headphones
