saw this late 60's early 70's on tv, i must have been 8 or 9, completely freaked me out ! i can't remember any of the film but have never forgotten the title. never seen it repeated here in the UK. can't wait to watch it on youtube, only been waiting nearly 40 years ! : )
Heavens to Murgatroid! What a titillating trailer! This was shown just this past week on TCM, along with Willim Castle's "13 Frightened Girls", but I neglected to record it. Oh the humanity! I especially wanted to see Mary Badham's performance, since she appeard in only a handful of TV and film roles after her incredible debut in the 1962 classic "To Kill A Mockingbird". THANKS for posting this cool clip! Hopefully the whole flick will be downloaded to youtube someday.
i remember watching this movie about 32 years ago here in australia when i was seven, ive never forgotten it,i especially remember the poison mushroom scene at the dinner table, and the spider scene, this is the first time ive looked at it since then,i have seen it for sale on amazon, thanks for uploading this, this dosent compare to the crap on tv now
Why can't they make movies like this anymore? I'd rather see all of the old cheeze than all of the new sleaze vomited out of Hollywood lately.
Every Friday night (maybe 1974) they used to have a late movie on TV here and that is where I originally saw "Let's Kill Uncle". It's still one of my favorites!.
@HotMaSherry I agree. This movie has stayed with me all these years. It was a cool concept. The movie "A series of unfortunate events" tried it, but missed. I use to stay up late to see the late movie too. lol
"Let's Kill Uncle" fans are in for a REAL treat! In the January 2009 issue of the Believer magazine is an article "A Certain Kind of Murder" highlighting the author of "Let's Kill Uncle" Rohan O'Grady (aka June Skinner). Check it out!!
I remember seeing this at a drive-in theater in Kansas one summer while visiting my cousin. I loved the story that pitted two kids against the evil uncle who wants his nephew dead. I remember one scene with Mary Badham singing "Shanandoah" she while emptied the gasoline out of the uncle's airplane. I guess it was cheesy, but that aspect of it went completely over my head.
Does anyone know if it's possible to get a copy of this on DVD?
I meant to tape it off TCM when it was shown on 10/8 but wasn't able to. Drat the luck! Oh well...hopefully I'll find it someday on DVD or VHS or maybe even posted here at youtube. THANKS for your comment! :-)
@JubalCalif Me too. It came on around 2 am where I live and I fell asleep waiting for it and forget to tape it. It may be years before I see it again :(
I think you're right! Since that was the first time I'd seen TCM show this rarely seen flick, I too think it will be YEARS before they show it again! Drat & double drat! Oh, the humanity! :-(
I second that emotion...I'd LOVE to see the whole flick posted here at youtube. Looks like an entertaining movie....and I'd love to see Mary Badham's performance...her acting career was rather short-lived. THANKS for your comment! :-)
The Shark scene in this movie scared me for almost a decade prior to seeing "Jaws" I was 8 years old the only time I saw this movie. I hardly remember anything other then the name and the shark in the murky pool... I still hate to swim! even in a pool (true story) thanks for posting!

saw this movie too on TV when I was young. It is a very good black comedy. I have been trying to find it too but it is very hard to track down.

Though William Castle directed this it had that Hammer horror movie style to it.

Oh yes, the days when child actors could act. Not just look cute and useless.
