@SuperAmbergold (I'm a Southerner) Well - it's hard to explain, and you being from the U.K. might not hear the difference, but Texans in general have more of a Western accent than a "true" southern accent. It's hard to generalize these things, but a southern accent ,as in a Tennessee accent, has more of a drawl as opposed to a Texas/Western twang. Again this is about as general as I can get, and you might find an overlap in accents among the Southern/Southwestern states. Cheers.

I'm from Texas been here since I was 2 and I have to say there seems to be two different Texan accents for males. One for the older generations like here and then a newer one seen in the younger people.

The younger generation seems to say things faster and the accent has more twang and less throat. Here the voice was real throaty.

@Toxickisses657 To me it sounds like a lot of the older people from here in Arizona, i guess it just depends a lot on your age now i think. i notice when i speak wtih elders in my community (Safford, Arizona) they sound more like that and have that "southern draw" in their voice, they say what i speak is more of a "fast" southern. you seem to be more of a fan of the "slow southern accent". anyhow i love the australlian accent sounds sweet.

Hilarious tag! Great job, Matt. I always think it's funny how accents and regions change the pronunciation of words. The ones from this list that I think can be altered the most are pecan, route, tour, coupon, Carribean, and wash (which my mom always pronounces as 'warsh', lol). And two that weren't on the list are garage and bulb. I've heard all those words pronounced differently. I've been told I have a little bit of a southern accent, although I live in the midwest :)
