@asterix645 Tom Cruise is too old for the part at 51, needs to be mid/late 30's to early 40's...Try Chris O'Donnel, Matt Damon, Colin Ferguson, Robert Downy Jr, Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Wahlberg, Joaquin Pheonix, or Ed Norton
@asterix645 well..everyone is due for a dud, I didn't think it was that bad..in Bennet's personal life, it was a bit annoying it took him so long to see what was under his nose. Step On a Crack was a great introduction and a very good read.
@BCE42906 That's what I liked about it. I liked how it went further in his romance with Mary and Emily. But the killer was just so bland... and the whole Lawrence thing was so half baked.
Not to worry, because James Patterson will come out with a few others that'll compensate.
@asterix645 as many as he authors or co-authors in a year, he can't always hit a home run, not all of his Alex Cross books are fantastic either. I'm certain he will bounce back with the next Michael Bennett book; Worst Case may have to be altered to be accepted as a film script, because Hollywood tends to think the same way the hippie kidnapper/killer thought
Patterson you're a fucking douche

@BCE42906 Yes you're quite right, but Worst Case was quite too generic to be made into a movie.
But of course, Matt Damon would be perfect.

@asterix645 Personally, I think Step on a Crack would make a great film; and Matt Damon would be fantastic as Bennet

@BCE42906 I've read Run for your life, Worst Case, and Tick Tock.
I'm planning on reading step on a crack very soon. I've heard good things about it.
Tick Tock was a blunder, easily the worst of the series.
