What's up Beatles fans? I would be honored if you would check out my version of this song. When I first heard this song I was deeply inspired... I must warn that it is rap music, but not like you hear on TV nowadays. It has a positive message like the rest of my music. Give it a chance and you won't regret it (I think). Jam it or slam it in my comments, I'll take whatever feedback I can get positive or negative. Peace and respect...
"When the broken hearted people living in the world agree, there will be an answer. Let it be. Though they may be parted, there is still a chance that they will see. There will be an answer. Let it be."
I agree with you 1000% rfgs.Tori has a voice and talent that few have or can approach. This was a beautiful remake of a band she obviously loved. george and John are in the heavens smiling now, and Ringo and Paul can look at each other and say damn she did us justice, because that is exactly what she did.I agree with youe comment to helmet to about her being not just a musician but an artist. Few realize today that there is a difference between the two. I like you man/woman??
Helmut83, are you deaf?!?! Tori's cover of this song is proof that she appreciates great music, and her version shows that she's more than a musician, she's an artist.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Ok, she sings well, that's not the problem, the thing is that the version she did sounds terrible. The Beatles' song had a great feeling and lots of other covers of this song have it, but this one is a ruin.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I agree. Tori fans are happy if she does some low-gutteral grunting and runs her piano off into some disassociated wasteland- they call that "soul". Why dosnt she just get up halfway through and slap McCartney to save time and we can all move on.
Why turn this into an outlet to argue about something? Please be quiet and do one thing...just listen. That is why music was made, to touch the lives of people...whether it's the Beatles, Tori, John Lennon, who cares. It is irrelevent as long as the music reaches someone with it's purity and message.
Every time I see her preform these fucking audiences don't get that it's not a fucking time to yell and scream for no reason. Enjoy the music and shut the fuck up unless it's loud enough music for you to scream like an idiot.
Lot of people, who I'm sure are a lot younger than me, are complaining on this thread about the noise from the audience. Now you know what it was like for the Beatles. They gave up touring when they could no longer hear themselves play.
Tori and the Beatles are my two favorite artists, and while I hated Happiness Is A Warm Gun when Tori did it, she definitely does a great job here and very different from the even more amazing original
oh genius...paul wrote the song but all songs he or john wrote...one needed the approval and advice if any of the other before it went on..thats what a collaboration is all about. Jutst like on Strawberry Fields..John wrote but paul helped in the arrangement
Sure, thats how it was at first-and later, but by the time the White Album was recorded, they had become soloist. By the time Let it Be was recorded, McCartney had already recorded 'Cherries'. Abbey Road was another example of self indulgence. Watch the movie Let it Be for some insight as to how it had already long ago unraveled. none the less, allthough they still had some civilised conversations about musical direction, Let it Be, the number, was Paul's. I'm A Tori Amos fan, lets' Let It Be!
first of all "Cherries" is actually entitled "McCartney" paul's first album, so let's at least get the name of the albums right...also i have seen "let it be" and i have the bootleg outtakes on tape and john and paul are not arguing in fact watch the song "two of us" its about the two of them also by the White Album yes they were growing apart from their proven songwriting formula but there were examples of john helping paul(birthday)and paul helping john(I'm so tired)Abbey Road is a masterpiece
Okay, I tried to put it to rest, but this is the internet!'Cherries' we call it in Britain (His FIRST, and the photo)Its a nickname as is the White Album. For your sake, I called some people who know, and Let it Be was Paul's song written for a solo project that became the theme of the album. Sorry, no one I know who was there can remember John's contribution to that particular number.I've Got a Feeling was my personal favorite last collaboration. Sorry, fellow Tori fans for the Beatles thread.
why would u apologize about a thread to strangers? This is the tendious internet. Where all nonsense finds a place. Let it be was paul's song, duhh. But it wouldn't have been on the album without John's consent like most partnerships like most bands. jeez get over it....Paul has admitted as much.
I give up! yes John Lennon would be proud to hear Tori's great version his song, Let It Be. She does an excellent job of McCartney's Attika State and Across the Universe as well.
Sarcasm mature? Sure, as is irony. TRY reading Shakespeare. Now turn off your sisters computer, run along home to your house trailer, and write 100 times the following: When I am wrong, I will apologize and move on to subjects I am familiar with. (Perhaps gum disease, ant farms and incest would qualify?) Now, off with you, scoot.
Nice fragments. it would appear as if you can't stop your thread with me....oh im so flattered...stay with tori hunter maybe you can figure our how she writes songs and on what album...u obviously don't know much about the beatles.
i was front row at this show. it was in OKC, Brady Theatre. it was fucking amazing.
i learned that Tori does not swallow her saliva while she sings and there was a long translucent spit trail from her lips to her hands. my god it was beautiful.
Tori Amos, is possibly the only person I've ever seen do any justice to this song. And by ye gods, I don't think she could have let this song's soul out any better
Because the screamers are mostly 17 year old fat girls on anti depressants , when they scream their bodies jiggle inthe audience and it makes them believe tori can see them
Oh man.. why would you wanna make a cover for the BEATLES song!!? The original is perfectly beautiful as it is! So I'd suggest that next time, you just LET IT BE!!
Why should everyone be banned from playing Beatle songs just cause the originals are the best? People like the songs so the play them, it's keeping the legacy alive.
People said this girl with the piano thing wasn't going to work...
