I have had it with Yahoo! Answers and it's community. First off, they do not understand the First Amendment (which allows us to express our opinions). I asked a question about the internet being full of selfish douches (I understand that was a big insult but I was only expressing an opinion). Secondly, the community can not take a simple question (Lots of users starts bashing askers on questions that are easy to answer). What is wrong with this website?

@Flowerpowernluv The video was made almost 3 years ago. As noted in the beginning of the video, the questions were found through google and viewed in chached mode. They had to be viewed in cache because Yahoo deleted them in their database. Anyway pages are saved in search engine databases for a few weeks even if the hosting site deletes them. But they don't keep them for years.

And sense you mentioned chatty questions check this one out...it's a sponsored question yet it is rather chatty

However I lost so may accounts after a period of a couple of years and even several email accounts and eventually I was making accounts so often I couldn't keep up with the account names. I even had the honor of having my IP address blocked for a while. Great times back then!

Anyway I have not been a regular on YA for over a year now. My run there was fun but it's over now!

Yahoo mail has the worse damn spam I have ever seen and even with their spam filters it's a major PITA!. My only regret is losing an account that for some stupid lack of judgement I assigned to my myspace. I have wanted to delete my myspace for 3 years but I cant cause I dont have access to that email.

Avoid politics and R&S at all cost, they are source of violation reports and blocks. post whatever in politics and you get blocked by the other side. lol and then some violations even if you agree with them on some issues. Don't use your serious yahoo account, because they could suspend your yahoo email and you lose everything. Yahoo is pity with most of their services broken and half-assed.

Yeah, I did the same thing, since I was given a violation notice for a question I thought was quite innocent after seeing very offensive questions still up and in my list of answered questions, such as "How can I get myself possessed by a demon?"

I then posted, "Have you ever gotten a violation notice? What was it for? What did you do?" The result? Another violation notice. Needless to say, I will NOT be back on Yahoo Answers.

The key: Post a Bonus Question as well as the question you think might be chatty.

My question was deleted the question was .........what is the relationship between religion and politics. My point was all religion has administrative leaders which is politics....they are so nitpicky either that or they have a bot autodeleting it all. When you appeal they send an automated response & thats the end of it. If you ask for the appeal to actually address what was wrong with your question then they suspend you for being rude or delete a few more questions to teach you a lesson.

It seems obvious to me that many of these aren't truly questions and many of them are simply insulting or inflammatory. At least half of them deserved to be removed in accordance to the rules. I wouldn't report them but I can see why some were reported.

YahooAnswers is a perfect example of why censorship is worthless and free speech should always win out. Personally I have no problem with trolls, ignore them, ridicule them, whatever. Free speech means learning to deal with trolls and learning to deal with opinions you would maybe rather not hear... but then again maybe those opinions are exactly what you need to hear to stay in touch with reality.

What kind of sad individual actually feels the need to take action against a question about how people like to eat olives? I seriously pity the people that report these questions. Especially whoever decided to report the one about offering others blessings and good wishes. Whether or not it complied with the TOS, you have to be pretty pessimistic to see somebody try to get others to be nice to each other and think "I should go out of my way to have this removed".

My first one made me so angry, I wrote back to Y/A about it, and they actually saw nothing wrong with it either, so they reposted it, where it was later deleted by the asker. The olive question was quite a kicker though.

As you may already know Judas Rabbi, the person with the 2nd most points in Yahoo Answers, well everyones always talking about him, so I posted a question saying "How old Is Judas Rabbi?" The previous one was a none-too serious answer to a none-too-serious question and got best answer, then it was deleted the following day. I appealed and got the usual non-answer. I just had my Level 7 account with 40,000 points suspended because some troll was denied sex with his mother - again - and it left him grumpy. When I received the suspension notice, I sent them an e-mail saying I hope they all lose their jobs in the upcoming takeover.
