I love this scene. I've watched this movie countless times and am really understanding what it really means.

It's fighting a battle within yourself- all the things beauiful- everything you know, can turn on you at any moment. There's a war churning within your mind and you have this feeling you and your loved ones will be harmed, and there's nothing you can do to stop it.

when it switches singers, i think it's representing the duel realities of the song.

On one side, Lucy loves jude,

but on the other she needs to get her brother out of vietnam.

you can see the duel realities better in the beatles song, where the bass drum gets really heeeavvy.

My favorite scene in this whole movie! I love it, and as much as I hate to admit it, "strawbetty feilds" and "Revolution" are actually the songs I can most relate too. Because I tend to think like that. But I just love him. I hate lucy, because she's the one who ruins thier relationship, and if it wern't for her, he'd never have had to go back to liverpool.
