  • Does this make anyone else wanna throw strawberries??????

  • This is beautiful!

  • i love the bleeding strawberry symbolism; this movie is so visually genius

  • anyone notice the apple reference?

  • oh, come on jude! perfect oppurtunity for a pun there: "this isnh't a living room . . . this si where i make my LIVING.' Get it? Funny? Not really.

  • @13pangea ho ho ho, you shot that ball and it flew right over my head. Koo koo key choo.....gseuhndheit!!!

  • I love this scene. I've watched this movie countless times and am really understanding what it really means.

It's fighting a battle within yourself- all the things beauiful- everything you know, can turn on you at any moment. There's a war churning within your mind and you have this feeling you and your loved ones will be harmed, and there's nothing you can do to stop it.

  • is he insane at this point or just high?

  • i always watch this movie after i smoke hash, its great

  • 4:55 Reminds me of the American Idiot Album cover.

  • @GreenDayFreakFTW same here also green day=FTW

  • LSD IS A HELL OF A DRUG!

  • what a waste of strawberries!!

  • Look what he did to the walls at 00:40

  • Wow that smoke is eyegasmic, it just looks THAT good

  • when jude was smokign the smoke coming out of his mouth looked cool :D!!

  • <3 <3 <3 <3

  • god i hate war.

  • I praise the pothead who decided to make this movie. Fucking great.

  • man, i kinda don't want a strawberry right now

  • @glad2begreen I just ate 3 chocolate strawberries, and 3 normal strawberries. xD

  • At the beginning of the scene, the reason he is drawing an apple is to represent Apple Corps Records, the store the Beatles owned and sold their records at.

  • This is not living room, this is where i work!

  • Strawberry Fields Forever<3

  • i love how hes singing during the guy getting shot

  • that was a great scene

  • strawberry murderer

  • when it switches singers, i think it's representing the duel realities of the song.

On one side, Lucy loves jude,

but on the other she needs to get her brother out of vietnam.

you can see the duel realities better in the beatles song, where the bass drum gets really heeeavvy.

    love this song.

  • Favorite Beatles song, and my favorite person in the movie sings it... Fuck yes(:

  • The part where Jude nails all the strawberries to the canvas is actually fake, cause' strawberries don't bleed. But the song still kicks butt.

  • Its hard to believe that some people actually hate the beatles! i LUV them! Those ppl who hate them must be crazy!

  • hey, whoever said that just becase your a drawer doesnt mean you cant be a painter to?

  • This is my favortie part in the whole damn movie.

  • Love how the smoke looks. & LOVE JUDE

  • Best part, along with 'Because'.

  • OHGOD.

The Strawberry Fields part...someone please STOP me before i start shipping Jude/Max. D:

jeezus, i spend waaay too much time in fandom...

  • Judi -- Kurt Cobain similar

  • lovely O_o

  • lovely o_0

  • love this song!!! :D

  • i didnt know strawberries were explosive

  • EXACTLY! I was like wtf??

  • it kinda scares me to know wats gonna happen to me if i eat another strawberry

  • me too

  • umm they rnt actually explosive.... the jst burst when he threw them on the wall...

  • i know i was just being sarcastic

  • they were refurring to moments like at 4:27 when strawberries are falling and explode when they hit the ground

  • I never got the point of te Strawberry, can someone explain this for me?

  • @BlackNorwegianMetal the song is called strawberry fields forever... hence the use of strawberries...

  • @BlackNorwegianMetal they symbolize hand grenades :)

  • Every time I hear Strawberry Fields, it gets stuck in my head for about a week! That and Hey Jude! LOL

  • best scene in this movie

  • Amazing!

  • Co za tłuk... Zmarnował tyle truskawek!

  • I don't know if someone noticed that Jo-Jo (the guitarrist) it's lke a prototype of Jimy Hendrix. I just noticed.

  • That's exactly what I thought when I first saw him dressed up by Sadie!

I was like woah, it's Jimi!!

  • JUDE IS LIKE SERIOUSLY HOTTTTTT!!!!

  • Ahh....Strawberry Field. :)

  • was the green apple suppose to represent apple records?

  • Yes! This movie is full of tiny nods to The Beatles- like when Prudence "comes in through the bathroom window". It's very clever, no?

  • @tweetybiwd12 yes

  • The Song and the smashing of the strawberries was supposed to symbolize how America is smashing apart the young and youthful of their population in the vietnam war. I mean... more than 100 died everyday. I LOVE how they did this song and their success with showing what it's really about.

  • attack of the strawberries

  • one of my favourite beatles songs. :)

    i love what he does.

  • I dont really like the way he sings this song. I compared the original to this one, and I dont think this song did any justice to the original.

  • I personally don't like how they did this scene. There's no climax. It's just Jude stomping on strawberries, and Max running. There's way too much emphasis on the literal strawberry.

I love their singing. But the writters missed the [Beatles'] point of the song, in my opinion.

  • the strawberries are to symbolize his heart and also what's going on while max is in the war. its all about symbolization.

  • the point isnt to literalize thestrawberries.

  • the original was better but this is good to

  • I agree. :)

  • evil strawberries

  • the original beatles video for starwberry fields was made in knowle deer park in sevenoaks about ten minutes from where i live

  • I understand his frustration... drawers block, although I would've done a better job at telling Lucy and that guy off. I like this version of Strawberry Fields.

  • I do believe 1:37-1:46 is one of the sexiest things i've ever seen.

  • when you join beatles with this kind of art you know your gonna accomplish something amazing!

  • i want a joint right now

  • o.o

  • is there a problem?

  • me twooo

  • @sodagod14 please give me one

  • strawberry fields forever

ohmigod war really fucked up maxx

  • omg how beautiful!!!

  • omg!!!! can u imagine bombs in shape of strwaberrys?

  • Jude hitting the j... pass that shit homiee..

  • Actually George wrote Something.

Although I'm surprised that they didn't put in Octopus's Garden; the only song written by Ringo. =(

  • George also wrote "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" sung by Jojo

  • fucksake i love this song XD

  • Strawberry fields was the first Beatles songI ever heard. It made grow to love The Beatles.

  • Elanor Rigby was mine :)

  • STRAWBERRY BOMBS! X3

  • This song was originally about a Salvation Army near John's aunt's. It was called Strawberry Fields. He used to play with the children there.

  • You should probably add that he played with children when he was a child haha, that statement could easily be misinterpreted.

  • lol, i was goin to sayyy, uhhhhh....... lol

  • the song represents war. thats what the beatles were talking bout when they wrote this song!

  • lol I heard that one of them used to play with kids from an orphanage called Strawberry Fields...but my sources could be faulty xD

  • i believe you are correct, but who knows maybe it was talking about both. by the way that kid was john.

  • You're right. John (Lennon) played with kids at the orphanage near his aunt's house.

  • All the crap and stupidity of humanity are represented in that scene...

  • This scene prety much sums up the whole sixties

  • He sings this song so well! And the strawberrys look like bleeding hearts to me... could be just me though but that's what I think they look like...

  • thats what i thought they were when i first saw the movie :P i hadnt paid attention to the movie because i was doing homework

  • i always thought thats what they were supposed to represent...symbolism i guess?

  • lol the strawberry massacre! wow! I love this song so much! one of my favorite beatles songs! and jude sings it so well!

  • agreed

  • my favorite song in this movie

  • oh this song is amazing!

  • dude did they just skip to the songs or is there more to the movie that we havnt seen yet?

  • no, the entire movie is on here.

i just realized max sings a bit of this too.

the song's really spacy & out there. =]

  • No, almost the whole movie is sung-through.

  • strawberry fields is actually my favorite song in this movie :)

  • I love the walls in their house.

i want my room exactly like that

  • me tooo!

  • john and paul only wrote like four songs together, they never got along creatively. all songs written by john and paul were written seperately who told u they wrote songs together?

  • not all of the songs in this movie are written by john

  • i think im starting to get the movie now.. you get high then break into song

  • bhaha

  • cool movie, but i don't get what any of this has anything to do with the beatles

this all seems more like john lennon's perspective, like peace and anti-war and stuff, maybe they could've had some indian culture in the movie, george harrison was all about that, or what about what paul or ringo thought?

  • Well Mamma Mia wasn't much to do with the life of ABBA and We Will Rock You wasn't much to do with the life of Queen....

  • still

this movie was intended to show the message the beatles sent out and to share the music with the new generation

but this is all john lennon

  • They all believed in peace and equality... maybe John more than the rest, but this is the main message the Beatles sent out.

  • in the extras on the dvd they said they werent tryin to Show the Beatles message they were trying to do a Romeo n Juliet type story based in the Sixties with Beatles music and I think they pulled it off.

  • childish

  • still gettin thumbs down huh? lol dont get mad at me cuz yall rather sit here and argue instead of enjoy a good movie. instead of givin me a thumbs down be grown and say wat u got 2 say

  • They actually got Jim Sturgess to smoke marijuana in this scene.

  • serisouly haha thats crzy

  • Really? It could've just as easily had been tobacco.

  • Yeah but some directors want real authenticity.

  • Im sure it was meant to be marijuana but it probably was a rolled cigarette to look like marijuana

  • my favourite scene of the movie

  • who ever gave me a thumbs down 4 my statement can kiss my ass. this is a great movie so just enjoy it without making comparisons

  • You have to admit it is sad that the Beatles' lyrics were taking in such a literal sense in this movie. That isn't a comparison. It really is odd to see the music played out in a literal intepretation.

  • The reason the strawberries appeared in this scene were to do with Jude's job designing a logo for Strawberry Records (Sadie's label), clearly named for an easy segway into this song.

  • I love the strwaberry bomms

  • this is the most craziest parts in the movie!

  • is this the whole film or am i missing bits? like the problem between jude and lucy?

  • they dont really get into why theres tension between them until later when they're washing clothes but basically Lucy is obsessed with protesting against the war and Jude is jealous that shes spending all her time with that protestor guy

  • amasing, how did they do this?

  • 3:16 - 3:20

    really cool shot

  • Listening to this song gave me goosbumps...It´s really deep.

  • r they in their own apartment now or r they still with sadie?

  • They're in the same apartment... later in the movie Jojo refuses to go upstairs with Jude because it's her place.

  • OMG i hate that guy...leave jim sturgess alone ass hole

  • What a waste of strawberries. Where did they ever get so many with the kind of money they make. Those things aren't cheap!

  • i am almost positive that those strawberries are fake. or at least the juice that comes out of it are fake.

  • THE best scene..

  • Gives me chills

  • me too the symbolisim is so amazingly moving

  • well, strawberry fields also refers to the prick spots from where drug addicts injected (heroin, etc.) Skeptics believe that the meaning of this song was originally based in the drugs. I disagree, however. What is your take?

  • I think %95 of the Beatles songs were about drugs, they just deny it.

  • you don't know shit, why don't you just ask them? Oh but half of them are dead, so you're out of luck and no, don't say they died because of drug usage - John Lennon died in NY because in 1980, Mark David Chapman shot him in the back four times and George Harrison died of cancer in 2001. Meanwhile, Paul Mccartney and Ringo Starr are still alive and you could ask thm - but i doubt that they would want to talk to you after what you just said about them.

  • John Lennon, at one time smoked marijuana on public tape, Paul McCartney openly admitted he experimented with different kind of drugs.

I'm not saying they were bad people, I'm just saying that they did use drugs and a lot of their songs were about drugs.

  • THANK YOU! your comment is most appreciated by me, please go to part 20 and help me out on the argument i am currently having with pieceofparadox, he doesn't even know much about them... and he's gay, look at his profile, lol, that is the first time i have pointed negatively on a person but i just had to, just please look at our argument and help me out

  • if u look at the fact u do see the drug meaning in some song

    like 4 example strawberry fields

in that time ppl would plant weed in strawberry fields to hide it

then lucy in the sky listen to the lyrics but yeah i dont think all the songs are about drug just certain ones

  • the most powerful anti-war video i have ever seen

  • in the beginning of the scene, the cutting of the apple represents Apple Records

  • o wow....cool

  • this scene is really powerful. also, the accent of the guy who plays max comes through a bit when he's singing. =]

  • How come the strawberries I buy never look that perfect? :(

  • My favorite scene in this whole movie! I love it, and as much as I hate to admit it, "strawbetty feilds" and "Revolution" are actually the songs I can most relate too. Because I tend to think like that. But I just love him. I hate lucy, because she's the one who ruins thier relationship, and if it wern't for her, he'd never have had to go back to liverpool. (He sometimes says "Liverpoo" because of his accent, which, I also hate to admit, I find pretty funny"

  • probably the most creative scene that i have ever watched, i love this movie so much

  • but really. we would never need a war in our house, just to see it.. thats horrible.

  • i love this song. its on my Myspace.!

  • It's so sad that after all the advances society has made through time, we still use primitive ways such as killing each other to solve conflicts between countries =(

  • i totally know how jude feels about his working area ..

anyway, strawberry fields forever = genius
