This poster of this clip asserts that the most important thing in windows is how it looks. I disagree totally, massively, in total disagrement with this poster. When using a computer Hardware and software, LQQks over substance is bad policy. The most important thing in Windows is its stability and funcionality. If something is wrong with windows, looks does not matter at all. Windows has to be stable recognizing HDD, ram, all ports, etc. Looks is the last thing you need to worry about.

Did you know that early 90's NASA facilities were combed with Apple units all over, but yrs later, they removed and trashed all Macs out from the entire NASA aparatus. Microsoft started to randomize they're new operating system packages each new operating system has it's bits and lacks. Vista better visual style but some features are missing like animated gif support, windows 7 better processing speed but again new design and weird taskbar can't get wmp raphic eq to stay docked and str... Best option to keep all features is split hdd in 3 partitions and install 3 operating systems or more. And keep all your data on external drives.

7 feels like it's a dumbed down Vista.

I absolutely hate WMP12 compared to WMP11.

Umm...all my games are crashing in 7. I've tried almost everything to fix it and I'm sick of fucking with it. I had Vista 64 installed since 2008 and it was rock solid, crashing one in a blue moon and I use lots of intensive programs with a quad and 8gb of ram.

I'm going to back to Vista 64 until a SP2 comes out for 7...and even then I doubt I'll go back to it.

I never had any issues gaming on Vista.

I may be alone, but I can't stand the stuff pinned to the taskbar. I have nothing pinned on mine and set it to small icons so that the taskbar isn't this big fat thing at the bottom and more Vista like in size. All in all I really haven't found more than a handful of features in 7 that are useful (to me) that Vista didn't have. I like 7 but even after using 7 for a couple years I haven't found the need to switch my other 3 desktops over from Vista.

windows 7 is slower on my PC. it has been tweaked and doesn't even have 40 gb. on my 250 gb hard drive. I had 140 gigs on it 2 days ago with vista. it would optimize in under 3 min. now it takes 7 min. it takes 2 to 3 times longer to load up a video.I also lose internet connection more often. 7 is junk"

windows 7 is overrated. windows fanboys brainwashed in thinking is any better than vista because microsoft told them it was. sure its faster and more stable but its still clunky old windows, there is not many improvements.

apple just added to the mac os, airdrop, autosave, versions, and 250 new features with 1000 api's for developers... all windows 7's new features like the dock.... sorry i mean superbar, mac has already had for years.

windows 8 is actually improved. (for tablets only)

@girlsdrinkfeck k first of all you did you take into consideration hard drive size and speed, screen resolution and color quality, 1000x better trackpad, hard drive protection from dropping, illuminated keyboard, equivalent webcam, clock speed (all mac i7's are overclocked and the actual speed is not shown.), I can go on and on, and whats the point of hardware without good software to run? plus windows doesnt nearly take advantage of hardware the way osx does. open cl, unix, gcd, etc

@sGreyful erm... i have spend BY FAR more money on my PC's than i have on my macs not including the like $4k in replacing there damn parts. the only problems ive had with my macs was on the imac the western digital hard drive crashed and obviously the batteries on the laptops after a few years.

that aside. learn how to compare computers. for 1. DO NOT compare at the end of a life span. and you MUST compare EXACT specs. this means to ever detail incuding a display with IPS, etc.
