This tune, while it's nice, does not fit Myung at all. She has no ethereal grace or charm, she works in the entertainment industry and her problems are all "White people problems," as the meme goes. This would fit someone like Deedlit better, although it still would be a pretty poor fit.
@MisterFanwank You don't need to have the shallow, artificial grace you're expecting from someone like Sharon to sing this song. Myung was tortured for years emotionally after having to suffer the traumatizing ordeals with her best friends that split them so apart, so much so she worked incredibly hard for Sharon's career to make up for it. Not to mention it reflects both her state before the incident and after, very fragile and vulnerable but powerful, quite far fromjust majestic in my opinion.

Man, I found this song in MP3 format a long, long time ago and never knew what it was from, but I've always remembered the tune. I lost the MP3 about 4 years ago when my computer died, imagine my surprise when I started watching Macross Pluss and heard the basic tune, which I've remembered all these years.
this song takes me back to when in anime there where soe real feeling and great music/atmosphere. anime of the 80's and 90's > all that weak shit the new generation of anime lovers enjoy. personally, i pretty much cant stand anime anymore after having the first 20 years of my life filled with quality anime works.
@nikiwonoto as in no depth & soul, generic designs, generic characters with no real purpose but just for cheerleading (support characters ftw), shits almost as bad as a shonen. the original macross had awesome characters and style, macross 2 sucked, macross plus was the best macross ever, macross 7 was meh, even macross zero was fucking dope, frontier failed big time. didnt even finish it or watch the movies.
for refference, designs used in sword of the stranger, designs used in ninja scroll.
I agree , it seems anime has lost its way ...lost its soul perhaps. There will be another Macross Plus , maybe not in name nor in style but it will happen. This anime was dedicated to those who would build the future, I have complete faith in them.
This song has alot of similarites to the music in spirited away. Knowing that macross came first and spirited away came after and has tid bits of princess mononoke. Not a huge fan of miyazaki but yoko and him should do a collaboration. Beautiful song!!!
Crazy how a song like this can evoke so many different emotions, reading down the comments, yeah its crazy I can almost feel like im back there listening to this for the first time
This song is 5:14 long. Israel was established 05/14, after tens of thousands of scared souls journeyed from the horrors of war and genocide to find a new home.
May we one day exist as one united spacefaring people. Namaste and shalom :)
My god, ever sinceI had the collection dvd i've never been able to stop listening to this, only causeI fell in love wen this song was playing at the same time..I know I know..its long passed that phase..lol
If you like this song, then you'll love the song AGAIN on the soundtrack for THE VISION OF ESCAFLOWNE. It was created by the same composer of MACROSS PLUS, Yoko Kanno.
My uncle just got me into Macross recently, (I watched the movie) and he put a ton of songs from the show on my iPod. Thank God he put this one on. I can't stop listening to it. XD
Yoko Kanno's is hands-down on par with debussy

@BAD187 hi, you mean anime nowadays sucks, as they lack depth & 'soul' in it?..

oh great piece by Ravel ... oh, sorry, by Yoko Kanno of course!
No! I'm just kidding. I love the Macross Plus Soundtrack. Yoko Kanno is the best when it comes to "eclectic" music concepts.
