  • Man you rock!! Go DJ man!!

  • Aye yo fuck it up Dji!! Nice scratching!! I got my deck on the way be here in a few days!! maybe I'll post a video

  • Nice scratching. Your hand on the cross fader almost looks outta control but clearly it's not as I can hear each cut. Nice man, nice =)

  • was the dif between 314s and 324s

  • @tjreeseman honestly, not that much :L just picking up on feedback from the c314's, such as over heating, better material etc :)

  • Finally a real dj scratching on these cdj. How do these compair to the pioneer 800s. Im moving to Socal and selling my decks and I need something thats cheap and can handle the load.

  • Hey, good job man! Hey I use the same decks and mixer, but I have no clue how to play a track on one deck, and scratch on the other. Every time I use the fader to scratch with, it moves the channel cutting the music track I want. How can I get one deck to play a track constantly while scratching with the fader on the other?? Thanks!

  • Nice work bro. (thumbs up)

  • You always amaze me Bedouin. Rock a crowd with whatever you're given... didn't know this was even possible on that mixer! You killed it!!! -phonte DJF

  • Question - How would one re-create the scratching of vocals like demonstrated with the word 'bass' in this video but on a computer program? I have decks and virtual dj but struggled to master it. So now I hope for a... well an easier option. I've found one program but it's far from I want. Thanks for your time

  • @simonthegreat Get a proper Interface for virtual DJ and you can scratch without any trouble.

  • thanks, do you have any suggestion to which interface to use?

  • well to be honest if you're going to use it primarily for scratching and you want to use VirtualDJ the best I know is the Denon DN s3700 but its costly although worth every penny, if you want just to be able to control the scratch in a better way the Denon 1200s are great and they have an audio sound card integrated into them, not a Denon fanboy but those are the ones that work better with VirtualDJ and are very good products.

  • If you plan to use another cd player with scratch capabilities to control software you can also go for these Stantons and interface them with stanton's own Final Scratch with timecode cds, timecodes with virtual DJ suck, that's why I don't recommend that path.

  • this aint half bad, fairplay m8, got good skills with the fader, and i understand thats its much harder hand work with a platter over vinyl.....all in sweet job

  • i have the same mixer, howd you get yours to cut like that?

  • what kind of mixer is that?

  • sounding nice cant wait to get my c.324's at christmas :D!!

  • @inspiredbyshikari Same here bro that or the c.314

  • give u props especially cuzz urr mixerr has no slopee get downn bro

  • not bad at all couple slip ups but im diggin some of dem twisted twiss scratch samples 4star ratin for that keep up da good work at the mo im usein the pioneer djm1000 but i dident even no the stanton c134 was capable of doing such a work out <<<< is in shook :/

  • NICE !!

  • Amazing.

  • Haha, that's awesome! :) Nice work.

  • Good tables for such an average dj.

  • Could one stanton c314 do the job of scratching or would I need two like you have?

  • if u have semething to play the base you can buy one

  • im thinkin abwt gettin some desks for my first time. cld people plz tel me wats better, cd or vinyl decks and the reason why.

  • Go vinyl first, then go cd if you want to try it

  • go for CD, had vinyl first and tried my friends Cd decks with scratch availabily on them and found them jsut as good, cd's are much cheaper than buying vinyl too, you can pick these decks up pretty cheap on ebay, i have used them and found them really good!

  • Get what fits you better, vinyl is very cool and there are tricks that can be performed only on a moving surface but cds are cheap and you can burn whatever you want into them.

  • thanks for all that! I have got two numark vinyl decks, one numark mixer (all bottom of the range i would guess), 2 Virtual DJ timecodes and a mia 44 sound card. It allows me to physically scratch any mp3 i like. The problem is it's just not easy. Thanks again

  • try to use your audio interface with another software like traktor I assure you the performance will be much better than it is in virtual DJ you also have to consider your timecode source, if your cd players don't have a good touch sensitive platter then a lot of techniques will be difficult or completely impossible to perform, if you're using turntables then you're using the right thing but also depending of the turntable quality you will get mixed results.

  • what's the title of those tracks??

and where i can found that??

  • Nasty skills!

  • BEDOUIN! dope. cuttin up a storm!

    -phonte DJF

  • SLICK!!!!!! love it, that was fressssssh

  • qahtani man what samples are you using to scratch with

  • that was tight as hell!!!!! much props

  • LOVE THAT SHIT BRUDDA

  • HELL YA BRO! you da man

  • Damn bed, killin' that shit.

  • unbelievable--sick!

  • Hi folks could anyone plz help me witha simple queery, just starting to use my stanton c314s&need advive,in vinyl mode can anyone explain to me when stopping a tune by play/pause button how instead of bringing it to an abrupt stop the tune would just slowly wind down until it comes to a halt,i think this when used properly sounds cool.

  • i take it you dont have the book...hold down the vinyl button till it flashes then turn the left knob for start time and the right one for braking, you can also spin the platter for bigger adjustments

  • i like it

  • Not one bad comment yet and im not going to be the first. Amazingly old skool. I loved every second of it.

  • awesome!!

  • I have a pair of these Cd-j's, I love them. They have dope efx on them and there is no latency on the cuts. I love these joints. I also have the Numark HD-X's, those are cool too, but I like these more. Peace

    Dj Hectik One

  • omg, amazingly old skool.

    You got skills bro.

  • O mein got ;D ,perfect old skool :D.

  • i just got mine, i need some help mate, give me some tricks i'm learning not easy to scratch...

  • dope cuts...very funky.

  • DAYMN, nice scratching, Also thinking bout getting those decks

  • The thing is they ARNT reliable soo good except that!

  • awesome. proves that it's not the equipment that makes a dj, but the skill!

  • this decks are so cheeeeeeaaaaaaaaappppppppppp and reliable. i dunno why people over spend on dj shit when these do all the same sorta shit the top of the lines do

  • how much?

  • I have two mint condition 5 months old with only 3 hours of play time now on ebay id: 313access only $400 shipped free with all papers OEM boxes, not one damn scratch never left the house!! Oh yeah shipped free...resession hot ass buy!! Best on the net I dare you to find a cheaper price!!!

  • i have a q, like vinyl, do the decks spin when its playing when in vinyl mode? look at the numark ns7 for an example as to what i mean.

  • are these decks reliable?

i was thinking these, or the DNS1200

  • I would get the DNS-1200s.

  • @djfamuszMEnt I run with these. Ive had mine about 3years, only problem is THEY OVERHEAT. They're great for the most part, just reciently they started screwin up. I Also have some str8-60's

  • @djfamuszMEnt I have the c324 and after a year it stopped ejecting the disks. Fortunately Musicians friend has a 2-year repair policy

  • @bigsexyinsect Do you Still Have It ... can I buy It What You Want For It..Hit Me Back Lil E Da Engineer & Subscribe To My channel

  • i cant find the stanton c314 any fuck any idEAS WERE I COULD GET THEM

  • I would get c324s at this point. They are the same and probably more reliable and with more features. c314s are discontinued now.

  • thanx

could i get them at guitar center

  • Yeah. They have been trying to sell a special edition of them recently too -- all yellow with a coffin. They look kind of cool.

  • qahtani can (a pair) c324's control a laptop?

  • yep i use them with virtual dj.

  • i can sell you mine! i wanna get pioneer cdj 1000mk3

  • holy shit niceeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • djforums got skill, baby.

  • OMFG!

    I have the same turntable...

But i cant make scratchs :'(

  • sickk stuff man ..hey what or where would i get samples that are on cd that would be perfect to scratch?

  • i was just on the decks feeling unmotivated took a break watched this vid INSTANT INSPIRATION thnx!

  • Quick question how did you set you vinyl

  • I Find it a bit difrent to scratch on cds

  • scratching with CDJ's are so much easier than scratching vinyl, the skill level goes way down when people scratch CDJ's

  • Damn that was awesome mate! Keep up the good work and stick with DJing!

  • danm son that craz those r somesick beats i just started but i scratch vinyl .... keep it up

  • is that mixer good// whats its pros and cons??

  • dude, where can i download or get hold of scratch samples?? iv jus bought these decks and im desperate to start scratching on them.

  • the sickest scratchin i ever heard i got fukn goose bumps.

  • damn man you got some skills.. i got a c314 and c324, just startin out and have been trying to teach myself to scratch on them.. youve got it down i was wonderin if you had any pointers or if you followed any tutorials or just self taught yourself.. thanks man, peace out an keep it up

  • Haven't tried yet (no turntables) but Johnathan the DJ Tutor (ellaskins) and Brian Redd (briansredd) have some tutorials up that would hel.

  • damn...

  • Man u r so goood...

  • HAHA That fader is str8 butter, im getting a set of these badboys sick if buying vinyl !

  • hey nice, wat is the name of the song that says like "pump up the bass" and "c'mon" thnx

  • 非常好,我喜欢!

  • That is freakin SWEET!... i c the mixer you have is a stanton 201. is that a good one for beginners? I read somewhere that you switched and went with a vestax pmc-05... Does the mixer make that much of a difference in sound? Quality is the main thing correct?... meaning it will last long enough without having to replace the knobs.. THANKS.. Keep it spinnin!

  • If you're going to scratch I would forget about the SMX 201. Get an American Audio QD-5 or a Stanton SA-5 if you're on a budget.

  • Thanks qahtani.. I have a C314, c324 and I took your advice and bot the american audio QD-5 MKII... Thanks

  • hey... the place I paid for the mixer didnt have one.. but sent me a Denon DN-X120.. I hope this one works just as well. Prob not too bad for a beginner. What do you think?

  • yo yo... I got my setup.. i like the stanton decks, with the american audio MKII mixer...

  • that is fuckin animal!!! mad t learn so i am

  • The begining song is from the soundtrack S.W.A.T....used by LL Cool J on his hit "I'm Bad". In any event, I was wondering what setting you put your sensativity at on your decks? I've tried -20 -15 and 0 and still haven't found a good place where the latency isn't bad on these. Any suggestions?

    Late

    one

  • From what I understand, the sensitivity setting has no effect when the deck is in vinyl mode. Like I've told some others here, I never touched the sensitivity setting from the default. I wonder if the folks who have problems with sensitivity are starting out scratching with CD decks, or if they have a vinyl background?

Anyway, I switched to CDJ-800s recently. I still want to keep helping people with the c314s though because they're great starter decks.

  • Scratches are from Bully Breaks 2.

    Songs are (in order):

"Theme from SWAT" - Rhythm Heritage

"A New Day" - JC Davis

"Hard to Handle" - Otis Redding

"Hollywood Swinging" - Kool & the Gang

  • man i got that same setup but im tryna figure how the hell u get that mixer to do fader start scratching???

  • There's no fader start on the mixer. Just going sample to sample . . .

  • i had a try on vinyl about a year back and iv got these decks and just had a go at scratchin on em. im gettin nowhere fast lol.

  • did you learn to scratch on vinyl?

  • Yeah.

  • So would you recommend the c314 to someone like myself who is just starting out? What type of mixer would you suggest?

  • You might want to look at the c324s at this point, which I'm hoping resolved some of the reliability issues that some c314 users faced.

  • whats the difference between the c314 and the c324 other than reliability issues?

  • Slot loading drive, different paint job. There's probably a few other minor things that I'm not aware of. You might want to check Stanton's web site.

  • all in all that doesnt seen worth the extra £200 or so. . .would you recomend the c314s?

  • Maybe with an extended warranty.

  • cheers m8. . u no any good alternates instead?

  • In the same or near the same price range? Maybe CDJ-400s, Vestax has some nice decks. I've heard good things about the Numark and Gemini hybrid models (CD-X, and CDT-04). You might look at Denon.

Mine have been good so far but I have heard complaints. 10 months later mine are still going strong, but if you hop over to DJ Forums and search for c314 you'll see many people who haven't been as lucky.

  • cheers m8 . . . am definatly gettting stantons now. . cant wait 2 get them

  • 1200's are the only way to go. It's what got us here in the first place. I was listening to a DJ Premier interview and he was saying that the CDJ thing takes away from the true roots of vinyl/turntablism and all that. I guess it's just a matter of opinion. It's funny to see cats like Capri, Xmen, Diamond D all promoting this, but when you see them perform, they are rocking the 1's and 2's. Don't let technology spoil the essence of the true roots of our hip hop culture. Peep it!

  • BS...Do you think Grandmaster would have insisted on using Vinyl if CDJ technology was available back then? Perhaps you think it creates an illusion of credibilty if you shun the new....BTW this guy can definetly spin..HOWEVER..he's puking all over the track...too much scratching and transforming. Where is the musical value of cramming every trick you know into an 8:00 minute video.

  • how does the SMX201 mixer work?

  • Avoid it if you're planning to scratch. The fader will bleed in one week or less. If you can't afford anything else though -- I guess make due with what you got and get used to cleaning the thing out every day.

  • hey what scratch tool u using for this?

  • Bully Breaks 2.

  • yeah your good man you got myspace or anything???so i can download a few tunes???

  • For some reason YouTube won't let me post URLs in the comments, but if you check out the website linked in my profile you can find my mixtapes and beats.

  • cheers dude!lovin it, just bought a pair of these online literally just now!!

  • Did you use your laptop to record to this mix?

  • No.

  • im debating between these and the Cortex Hdtt-5000

  • hey anyone know where i can buy one stanton c.314 for the lowist price on the web???? plz write back!!!!

  • The new C.324's are within $30-50 of the 314's. I'd go with the newer one since it offers more features. This is if you're buying new. If you don't mind used, there's always some crazy low prices on Ebay. I own both models though and recommend them both for a great starter kit. (paid $299 for C.314 and $325 for C.324, both brand new, just had to google around a bit for the best deal)

  • Does that fader ever bleed? I just need a beginner mixer, would you recommend?

  • Yeah, it bled bad. I would clean it all the time until I saved up and got a PMC-05 Pro III. I would recommend the Stanton SA-3 or SA-5.

  • am gettin some of these woot

  • wow this is very very impressive... especially to scratch like that on cdjs...this dj def has had his experience with vinyls... as for 1tian's dumbass comment... its all about preference bud relax cupcake.

  • i actually got one C314 and one C324. both are great

  • 1tian ... the thing with vinal .. yeah ok its a bit more impressive and shit .. but you stuff up the needle and the records so damn easy doing it .. but with CDJ's it doest stuff with the actual recording at all :) so no more having to replace records and needles and stuff ..

  • i have them and there fucking great.. and 1tian your a fuckin idiot

  • WAO COOOLLL!!!

  • what beat are you scratchin to?

  • Theme from SWAT - Rhythm Heritage

Brand New Day - JC Davis

Hard to Handle - Otis Redding

Hollywood Swinging - Kool & The Gang

  • i ordered these last friday. should be here in a week. hopefully they are worth the cash!

  • I've had my C314's for 3 months now, haven't changed any factory settings, scratchin pretty well myself now. Like he said, you just gotta practice a lot. Once you get the feel for them, you'll be makin some ill demo videos too. This is my first set, and like many of you I'm ballin on a budget. For the price, these are worth gettin into fo sho!!! Oh, and I'm just using an old beat up Gemini scratchmaster mixer with no features at all, and it works fine to do what you just saw. (((djR)))

  • nice scratchin can u help me how to scratch on my stanton

  • it's cool great dj w stanton

  • is this stanton equipment is better or denon dns1000,plz reply becuase i am gonna get a new dj set.

  • I haven't used the DNS1000 so I can't really comment. Denon is a pretty trusted brand though . . .

  • I got the same set up

  • hay i was lookin at the dj website i wnna buy dj set let me knw 0423233030

  • you were using the touch rewind function when you were scratching right? when you lift your finger and touch the wheel, it will return to the cue point.

your first cue point was the word "base". at around 40seconds, you switched to another cue point without changing it manually. then to another after that. how did you do this? or am i wrong to think that it rewinds to the cue point?

    thanks!

  • I have the touch rewind disabled actually. I'm not doing anything special or using cue points. Just Bully Breaks 2 burnt to CD.

  • oh i see. so you just move the wheel to next point that you want to go to?

    thanks so much qahatni!

  • hey where do u get all da samplers

  • Bully Breaks 2.
