  • @jasonvoorhees805 lol g'day mate :-P

  • what if we dont have that thingy that you put on your guitar?

  • then it will just sound lower in pitch, thats all! you can still play along, the shapes and techniques are the same :-)

  • oh ok thanks

  • thanks so much!! im an okay guitar player, but have never playd nor learned flamenco guitar b4. ur lessons have really helped!!!

sorry but im having a bit of trouble understanding ur accent... im from canada, so i guess thats reasonable. anyways, thanks lots man =)

  • thanks! you should maybe get the book then and you can work on your flamenco with the rest of us!

and sorry for my scottish accent im doing my best! :-P

  • im seeing all these comments about "the book". wats that all about? r u teaching material from a flamenco method book??? if u are, which one/? cuz i guess im just an idiot or sumth, but i hav no idea wat book ur talking about. thx

  • lol i'm not teacher, im a student like you! ;-)

  • de nada! ;-)

  • that is a great , easy to understand lesson....keep up the good work...greetings from the USA!!

  • thankyou thankyou! just sharing everything i learn!

  • hi Del ....keep doin`what you`re doin ,this is what You Tube should be all about.Learning Asturias myself at the mo and use the "powertab"programme ,very useful (lets you slow it down when it is playing) and also the tab.

  • thanks man!

i got a book of sheet music from my best friend at christmas, spanish concert masterpieces, so i'll be learning it once i finish my flamenco book :-D

    All the best!

    Derek :-D

  • Hey dude... I'll be picking up your classes from now on again. Never mind the acid pissers in the comments. Keep up the good work,

    King regards from Holland!

  • Cheers man! And I'm not worried about the comments, I have had a lot of people tell me how much better I have become since last year :-D and like i always said to them, i'm not the teacher, i'm just sharing the knowledge!

Good to hear you are continuing your flamenco studies! all the best from Scotland!

    Derek :-)

  • i didnt mean it offensively im just saying if your gonna show off it should be a song or exerpt your capable of playing properly just take your time when learning the song im sure you can correct it

  • my friend just got me for my christmas a book of sheet music, spanish concert masterpieces! and guess what the first song is? :-D so i will learn to play it properly now! it was more the technique and not the song i was trying to show off.

have a good new year mate! :-D

  • instead of a capo could i downtune a full step??? im a noob sorry

  • you would need to tune up the way! but its not THAT important you can play normally if you like. but i recommend getting a capo anyway, well worth it.

and dont be sorry for being a noob. because we were all noobs!

  • hey guy no offence but if your gonna show off dont be so sloppy and slow

  • hey man my channel aint called 'rubbish @ flamenco' for nothing! but my subscribers and i are all learning from the one book, the book is the teacher, so we all start out rubbish and practice together, and we all get better!

  • "sort of f chord" lool!!! i love your chord pictures!very useful

  • figures...i just loaned my capo to my brother.

  • you play it in 6x8... [interesting]

  • hey i have been watching a ton of your vids and i have been learning a lot. but i have learned a diff version of Asturias than you and yours sounds better so it would but cool if you had a lesson on Asturias. thanks

  • you have probably learned the proper version! i learned that by ear! and i get stuck from the point i stop at onwards, so i dont think i'll have a lesson until i learn it properly. i have downloaded tab though! but i dont know when i will start to do it - too much too learn!!! thanks for your interest in my vids :-)

    derek

  • Everything you play sounds brilliant.

  • thanks! i wouldn't quite say that but i'm getting there! get stuck in and practice though, believe it or not i'm just a beginner too!

  • olla chicko!!! xD

  • this is crazy, i can learn from this

  • excellent well go for it then!glad it helps

    derek :-)

  • cool man

  • Man, you are hilarious. THanks for rattling the cage a lil bit. I don't want to judge your technique (just a beginner myself)but you certainly have your place on the Tube.

What about tuts to learn your accent!?!

  • hey, i noticed the part where you mentioned you shouldn't have your fingers planted on the guitar while playing... I myself tend to "suffer" from this - haha... and was wondering, any tips on kicking this habit? cheers =)

  • actually yeah! try and keep your thumb on the thick e string, that will help steady you, and is how the flamencos do it!

    Derek :-)

  • danm eats testicle soup for breakfast. take note of how other people play, but play whatever position suits you best.

  • Well, it opbviously doesn't suit him best.. I played the whole entire 7 page piece when i was in grade 5.. so if i could play it properly back then.. and he can't now... obviously it doesn't suit him best.

  • u need to take flamenco lessons before u try to teach. your technique, hand and guitar positions are poor. people watching u that don't know better will learn your bad habits. u should watch any of the real flamenco players on youtube. if u can't tell the difference then stop playing guitar teacher

  • can you play real flamenco ? If you don't, you have no right to say what you said ! I bet he can play way better than you, just in case you play guitar ! ... I play guitar ( rock n' roll ) but flamenco is much more difficult than rock ... Your comment was not cool at all

  • No his comment was way "cool". I agree with him, his posture, hand position, and technique is poor. He is capable of playing asturias.. I played it when i was in grade 5.. So if i was he obviously is, he just needs to learn proper posture, i.e. his pinky and "a" finger shouldn't be in he golpeador while playing. And cmon, danm48 is giving advice first of all, second of all he wasn't even talking to you like where the fuck did u come from?

  • You scotts have a cool accent:)

  • Very good, immediately useful stuff to work on. your lessons are the best on the internet. partly because you have a fun attitude and its easy to see you are a good person. Thanks for contributing, and make some more!

  • well, thanks, but i wouldn't really say they are the best on the internet!!??!! i know nothing!!!!

if you haven't already, check out my new pal from australias channel (hersoveela) he has loads of cool stuff, lots of techniques n stuff for us to learn, and my friend from hungary (csybu), who has awesome rythym, gabriela style!

  • can i get the book free on internet bcause i dont think thaty that bokk is available where i live??

  • yeah you can get it on amazon its excellent

its called juan martins guitar method - el arte flamenco de la guitarra

  • hey there....in asturias the right hand goes like this:

    p i p m p i p m p i p m...

and on the second part where you put the 2 B... the first one make in open string...it will be easier..

  • the point of me playing that portion of asturias (rightly or wrongly) is just to show you what can be done using both the p-i and p-m-i techniques learned in the aerlier lesson

i will try my hand at asturias one of these days :-)

  • Thanks a lot for this lessons,it's very interesting and it's help me a lot to learn flamenco

  • Hehe nice !!! Visit My First Soleares u want!!

  • just did. well done, you have the juan martin book too then?

  • by the way i am also ur subscriber, waiting for some cool spanish instructional vid. lesson(so far whatever u played i already can play em all including auturias)thnx to internet.cheers

  • my friend u do play good and by the course of time i m sure u r gonna be an expert, beside being a good teacher greetings.

  • you really r a good teacher,good job dude.

  • really? just bear in mind that i'm NOT an expert - and sometimes i might be wrong! (like planting my fingers)

  • what's the name of the first song u played ?

  • thats called Asturias. there is more to it than that but thats all i can play! check my page i have people playing it in my favourites list.
