Wonder Girls have better voices in my opinion. More stable and full as well as smoother....they also handle different colors well (meaning they can be more than one thing in a song, not just cute or over-sexed like SNSD tends to do). Listen to the high notes at the end...case closed.
@megaYunglam : your right, taeyeon definatly sang the higher notes MUCH better than Ye eun. Ye eun sounded stretched and her vocals had no power at the higher notes. But all in all they sounded very close, BUT due to the fact its a SNSD song they sing it better, But if we reversed this and made snsd sing a WG song id say WG would win :D

i think snsd was better but snsd did sort of have an advantage because snsd has nine members and wg has only five members....so i think snsd had time to take a breath before singing more often, but that's just my opinion ^^
@12zuzus It shouldn't matter which performance of SNSD's will be compared here, good or bad. As a true artist, one is expected to perform her best every time, no matter how many are watching. And as fans, we should view these "SNSD vs __" videos in an objective attitude. It leaves SNSD's fans with more integrity, and simply because I think SNSD is good enough to take this kind of criticism. (sry for the long post. high-5? :)

Hats off to Wondergirls they are actually very good vocally in this one. I still think that Girls Generation are better than any other band anyway so theres no contest. Girls generation are much better singers than Wonder Girls anyway. I have seen some Wondergirl songs and I'm not very impressed. They arent the best singers, but I can't do anything about that. Girls Generation are the best and will alwatys remain the best. I love you Yuri, my favourite member of Girls Generation. I love SNSD :)

Which group is better overall is all preference. But you'd have to be an idiot to think that WG is better vocally. It's universal that Taeyeon alone is the best idol vocalist. Jessica, Tiffany, and Seohyun could all easily be best vocalist in a lot of other idol groups including WG.
No offense to WG, but half of their Chorus is not live (meaning it's recorded and they're lip syncing parts of it), while SNSD sings the whole chorus.

Not saying Sohee and Lim are bad but i believe they are the same range as the other '5' in snsd you may believe isn't vocally talented.
@k1m I think that for WG to take all 5 members and give everyone a part in a 9 member song though they know Sohee has a lack of vocal training and Yubin is a rapper, says a lot about the vocal capacity of the group. They were out of their element and still rocked the hell ut of this performace with no cracks or screw ups, SNSD on the other hand used 4/9 singers & Sunny cracked, and so did Taeyeon....so when you compare them WG comes out on top for me (based in fact not just because I like them).

And about the vocals. Among all, I think Tae Yeon is the best vocal since she has such strong voice. However, the other girls in SNSD seems to have really weak voices [they have good voices but they don't use it frequently so their range doesn't get any better].

the truth is 9 ppl singing for 15 sec and 5 ppl singing for over 30 sec. busiest ppl in so hot days unactive ppl in kissing you days. popular song tell me than kissing you. heard tell me more than kissing you so less interest in kissing you. hectic scedule wonder girls tried their best still didnt lack anything in singing and dancing. theyre pure angel and very honest on/off camera.

I love how snsd can do both cute and fierce concept. Onthe other hand WG looks somewhat awkward...sorry...fans but snsd's style concept from the beginning until now is what you call versatility, they go back and forth between cute and nail each conept every time...

Well basically some wonderful juz criticized taeyeon about breaking her voice when reaching high notes in the last part if the song.
I think it isn't fair for an alto to be compared to a soprano like me and my friend. ( she's a sop I am a alto) she goes way higher than me so it isn't fair.
So do u understand it's not fair to compare ppl of different singing ranges?

And about the vocals. Among all, I think Tae Yeon is the best vocal since she has such strong voice. However, the other girls in SNSD seems to have really weak voices [they have good voices but they don't use it frequently so their range doesn't get any better].
*P/S: I'm neither SNSD's fan or WG's fan. I'm just saying this as a person who loves music and that's all.
