Just got signed up for the webinars.. that "stand" video looks like fun..only problem is, my little guy is having issues with "leave it" and excessive biting! :( I hope recallers 3 will help us in training.. he is my first puppy! Does anyone know how much the "recallers 3" will cost?
@nomorefatjess With the leave it and the excessive biting I would do the Its Yer Choice, and just hold the treat in your fist and let him chew on it and try to get it anyway he wants as long as it is not too rough, then the minuete he leaves it alone, BOOM, he gets what he wanted, it should not take him long to figure it out, then you can open your hand a litle bit slamming it closed if he tries to get it in an unacceptable way.
@nomorefatjess Also Silvia Trkman has us just put our treats in a bowl on the ground and you just simply click for ANYTHING they do that is not going after the treat and you work up to them being able to do some shaping and work with those tasty treats or fun toys laying there and they wait until you tell them to get it. Your little guy is aweful young but he will get it FAST.
@nomorefatjess As far as the course cost, It was a couple of hundred dollars I think...it was great and I loved getting Susans take on the small mechanics that made a big difference, and it was great to have someone else plan out lesson plans..If you do not have the money to take it you could honestly really work through Crate Games-work through up to working with distractions, Shaping Success and Rough love and most of the games and what we did were included in therethat with watching videos
