  • Muchas, love your easy to follow instruction.

  • buenisima pero lo mismo deberias explicar mas y luego tocas la ley de la teoria y luego se lleva a la practica no aprenderiamos de su magnifico conocimiento si nos lleva directo a la practica debemos aprender la teoria primero

  • i got the same sticks from guitar center. great sticks by vic firth. the guy taking the lesson probably gave them to panga as a present

  • Hi marresdun!

I also tought that it was a triplet but recently I´ve discovered that the phrase is in eight notes:

    the & of 1, the 2 and it´s &, the 3, the 4 and it´s &

  • @HRLSCAR yeah...I guess you can think of it that way too. It's hard for me to count when I play timbales. Ruins the puerto rican feel to me.

  • @marredsun Hi again my friend!

I think that counting is just a tool to FEEL. If we practice enough (and in the right way), we should forget counting when playing and just feel the musical phrases.

    LONG LIVE TO PANGA!!!

  • @HRLSCAR Long Live to Panga!

  • GRASIAS!

  • Hi everybody ! I'm from Switzerland and I spent more than one month with El Panga learning traditional cuban rhythms. Here is a video that I took with my camera in his house in La Habana for practicing at home. I hope it can help you too. This is also for helping El Panga to be more famous.

If anybody wants to take lessons with him just send me a message and I will phone him.

    Bye

    Gabriel

  • that sounds awesome! where does he live, and how much are the lessons?
