Yeah, sorry, I had to get rid of it about 6 years ago. But for sure, it was still strong the whole time. Gotta love 5 cylinder Mercedes Diesels :) If you can ever find one for the road, they really are some pretty awesome cars. Pretty good on fuel mileage too. And you can do the Veggie diesel conversions to the too, so they run on used veg oil you pick up for free from restaurants. Can't beat that :)
these cars are the ultimate feild/woods car abuse machine. buy it for pennies. can't kill it. you sell off anything useable like the grill, lights, seats, ect. and you make all your money back. also pretty easy to make some okay ooomph if you've got a turbo model.
For sure man, can't kill them, and they take the bumps, and abuse so damn well. A turbo would have been awesome. Drew's got a 300SD for a road vehicle now a days, and thats a nice car. Huge compared to the 300D. Want me to send you a video of us field beating this beast?
well, fair enough. As an owner of a 300D, it hurts to see this type of behaviour; cant you just do that in an old civic or maxima or crown vic or something? Why a classic Merc??
I hear you, and i understand. These are honestly amazing cars to own and drive. The old w123 are probably my favorite merc's. Besides Uni-Mogs of course :) my friend has a 300SD, and its also a really nice car.
Driving the car like this, didn't do anything bad to it, i wasn't actually trying to crash, thats just a funny title.
Any car pretty much can do this with no repercussions.
the benz held up pretty well....u still have it? And do you guys buy junk and offroad in them? Wouldnt mind gettin drunk and trying it myself. Must be a good way to get rid of anger and stress
i recommend that you find an old beat up Jeep Wagoneer. Also, find an old rusty big body Cadillac. Post new vids of that
It held up amazingly! :) All four struts were completely worn out. The back would bounce off the ground from minor bumps sometimes, because it was pretty much only springs at that point. But it would take bumps better then any car/truck ive ever ridden in :) in the field, and through the woods even!
I had to get rid of it a few years ago with a bunch of other cars and trucks :(
Yep, pretty much man. My friend mike comes up just for the stress and anger relief :)
they were used as rally cars....friggin boats. I drive one every day i'd know. Sounds like this burgundy one had some tired belts on it too. I was surprised to even see the brake lights intact.
find an old Audi wagon or an old cadillac and post a vid it will be cool. also, do more car jumps.....watch those arab drifting videos and try doing that on the mud and grass too
Yeah man, they do some crazy intense drifting. They are SERIOUSLY good. :)
We've had some powerfull rear wheel drive cars that can do that. A black infiniti q45 that was a blast man :) If i come across a cadilac and its really cheap i'll snatch it up for sure. I'll send you the infiniti video. A loud, 300HP V8 powered rear wheel drive 4000 pound nissan is alot of fun... :) Thats what we discovered from those cars. Much nicer cars then cadilacs for sure.
But i want you to know, I'm sorry the video made you sad. That wasn't my intention. I put it up, because i really loved this car, and wanted to show people how awesome it was. Its actually a tribute to it, We've tested over 100 cars. This was one of the most durable. And i mean from serious testing, not this footage.
Again, sorry the video was a bad thing to watch, thats not what i was going for when i posted it.
@tommartyn lol i was looking more for a song title for that perticular track i havent found it yer and i ment weird was quite a weird but likeable track
:) Ah Gotcha. Its i think the last track on the album. called T3rcermillenium. Its an instrumental. That whole album has alot of tribal sounding stuff going on. Almost calming. Then there is alot of very vicious energy in most of the songs as well. Many different styles of music.
it needed a trans, and had some bad rust issues that would have made it probably un inspectable. Things like that. also needed struts. Just stuff that i didn't have the money for. Plus, it was insanely fun to Thrash (not trash)
ahhh, tried never to think about that before... kinda teared up when i did... shit man. that engine was still perfect... and the transmission worked the exact same as when i got it too. never started slipping or anything... though it didn't shift till about 5 thousand rpms or something...
yeah man... i miss that thing alot. driving around in drews new one really makes me miss it more... fucking sucks! i should have at least kept the engine, and trans and tried to put it in something.
that was sepultura, without the original singer, from the album against. it rocks! don't know the songs by name off hand. but i'd recomend that album! it has some great sounds on it.
yeah, it was a crazy sounding engine. sounded like alot of different things, alot of different times. heard the v8 thing, and really sounds like a gas engine most of the time. especially after the exaust manifold broke off of the pipe.
if you still have that car which u prolly dont, Ill take it O_o seems like its still strong

ur an asshole for doing that, FYI

No, actually i'm not. But, YOU are an asshole for leaving that comment.
Just for your fucking information.
Me, buying a cheap, beat up car, and having some fun with it, is just that. Fun. And my business.
Going on someones video, and telling then they're an asshole because of what they do with their car = an asshole move.

But i'm really a fan of older cars in general. seems all companies were better back a while.

Wired? or wierd? Stange, or connected with wires?
It be Sepultura's AGAINST album. their first album with out the original singer, and brother of the drummer. The first "Fake" Sepultura album.
Still fucking good though. has jason newstead on the one track.
