I am so shocked that people are still this close minded and can't just accept that gays have always been around. That it IS genetic. Married couples have all sorts of rights that unmarried couples do not, such a filing taxes jointly, visiting their spouse in the hospital, leaving property to their spouse without it being estate taxed, etc. That is what gays are fighting for, they're not doing it to piss off homophobes. And as ironic as it sounds there are quite a few gay christians.

Considering the fact that Marriage was invented by God, and homosexuality is a sin, I don't see how same sex marriage is plausible...I do, however, support gay rights and believe that the government should make a legal equivalent to marriage but with a different name which would allow gays to gain all the legal benefits of marriage. This is a free country and we need to allow people to do as they please, so long as it doesn't harm others.
