This is like the perfect album to me. The vocals, riffs, solos, drums, and piano work comes together so nice. It's hard, yet there is so much melody and soul in the music. Each song is also a part of a bigger story, there is a sense of continuation throughout the whole album.

I, too, like many here, have recently come across this band. They really are like jinsbae stated, some fresh power metal and are beyond epic! This songs chorus is so simple with everything, but the the keyboard/synth over the guitars and drums with the vocals is BEYOND EPIC!!!

Lance fit this group so well. I love Barlow but he didn't fit the music like Lance did. Urban won't even come close to those two.I love Pyramaze but they have egos that are unfounded, especially Jonah.

Same happened to me. I used to be hooked on Dream Theater, then Symphony X, and now I can't stop listening to Pyramaze. It's seriously been all I want to hear for almost a month now.

But if you haven't already, check out Nevermore. They're not super progressive, but each album has it's own feel to it, and they kick equal amounts of ass as DT and SX and Pyramaze. AND they're recording a new album now. Can't wait...

I think he'll do ok. But Lance King has a really unique sound that neither Barlow nor Urban Breed have. Though personally I got into Pyramaze because Barlow is my favourite vocalist, Lance King is defiantely the most suitred to Pyramaze

you are right but, if you listen to the band instead of the singer, you will realise that pyramaze sound is under evolution, they are taking a road more less power and more progressive since inmortal... lets see how they do on his new cd, im hoping to hear some kick ass power metal like legend of the bone carver

BUt then they have always been Progressive power metal. You listen to any band that's labelled progressive, yhou'll find very album is very differen from the last. Best example is porrbably Nevermore, I have every Nevermore album and they are all different in many ways. That's what progressive is. But what I am saying is that Lance King defined what Pyramaze were/are. Immortal acutally felt like an Iced Earth album to me, barlow's vocals werre bang on to have been with Schaffer

yes, you are right, what i was trying to say is that inmortal in comparision with the other 2 pyramaze cds for me its like "less power", or less "something"... maybe its because the absence of lance, i dont know, but im not saying that its bad, im just drawing a line between the two cds with lance and the work with barlow, besides the change of singers there is for me a change of the band sound or style

In a lot of groups that doesnt happen. however because both Iced Earth and Pyramaze have such unique vocalists (Their true vocalists, IE Lance and Matt) it's hard to replace them without change.

I love the Immortal Album. but because of amtts voice they had to have slightly thrashier music, hence hwy I see it as much more of an Iced Earth album. Though Urban breed is closer to Lances style, so hopefully we cna hear epic keyboards again Though Barlow 'Lgacy in a rhyme' is awesome

The reason you have heard that this stuff is christian is because the singer on Pyramaze's 1st two albums (Lance King) has sung in other christian metal bands. I knew the names.. but i cant think of them right this minute.

The vocalist is in fact a Christian and founder of Nightmare Records, which produces lots of Christian metal. Unfortunately, Lance King is no longer with Pyramaze, having left in late 2006 not long after this EPIC album was recorded.
