I like all there albums tbh but for me Wake of Determination is the best...what i really really liked is how many of the tracks merged into eachother so its like one big song of awesomeness and all the songs delivered on an epic level...i didnt get that so much with Black Swan but it was still very very good. This album seems brill to...amazing band.

i personally think this is only good song on this album, i love dan's scream voice, if Soty chooses to go and be more alternative than heavy, im fine with that. Personally i think they need to get back into Big Blue Monkey, and Redo all their old songs that werent redone in page avenue.

i'm a huge SOTY fan and have been for like 6 or 7 years. In the wake is their best in my opinion and page avenue is my least favourite. If i wasn't on my ps3, i'd write a shit-load to justify myself.

I really don't understand that dislike towards In the Wake of Determination. It makes me think you all are so ignorant and dead set on making Story of the Year a one-sound type of band. The album was damn good, maybe one of their best. Oh, and don't get me wrong, I still play the hell out of Page Avenue and the Black Swan.

An although the Black Swan was a good album, I feel like it was almost a step backwards instead of forward in progess for them.

dont get me wrong the constant is a good album, but hearing songs like im alive and to the burial, i expected the songs to be more like this song. i still like it but i gotta say i was expecting a lot more from this album. i was hoping for a sound like itwod but this moved more to an alternative sound with the exception of a couple songs. but once again i like the album just i know soty is capable of more than this

You have some good points, but i gotta say that this is probably one of their best albums! I dont know how you get all the songs to be the same, different lyrics, different guitar riffs, different bass, different drumming, but maybe im missing something?? All SOTY albums are different in their own way, none of them are like eachother. Its just a matter of taste of which you find to your liking. But dont really look down on any albums, becuase they are all perfect in their own way mate ..

@stigno89 its actually the other way around. bands make more touring than they do with album sales. mainly because the money they do get through their cds doesnt all go to them. big percentage goes to production and the record company themselves. so unless the band sells a crap load of albums... they wont be seeing a lot of money come in. selling merchandise at shows is mainly where the money comes from and they receive that by touring.

@graffitinest23 sorry man but your wrong, my uncle works for a record label, and i'm studying music myself, and although your right that they make a bit from merch, bands still only make a small profit touring, they tour to promote the album, and support larger bands in the hope that people going to see the larger bands will buy their album, the band/artist that releases an album receives about 5-10% of all money sold on albums, work it out
