fantastic video, very informative. It always makes me happy to see people rehabilitating animals back into the wild. They are not pets, although they are quite possible the cutest animals in the world!
There are a lot of wombats on the way down from Qbyn to the coast - always dead on the side of the road thanks to fast and blind drivers. Ive seen at least 12-Wish theyd slow down and /or we had a tunnel under the road so they could go from one side to the other
Yes, there does not seem to be any fresh droppings around for ages. I think they have gone, plus some-one told me they saw the big old Wombat drowned.
I lived in Queanbeyan for two years, along the river near the foot bridge, I seen a large male get washed away after a big storm. I don't know whether he survived or not.
A father and young son, down the river about a month ago told me that they found the large wombat drowned after the storm earlier in the year. There not much evidence of the wombats down the river anymore. Very sad.

Very interesting to see this animal in Australia.
The facial expression reminds me of Koala .. it's nice to see the human side of wildlife.
Thank's!

Yes I've seen the Queanbeyan wombats, but sadly not lately I think as GrumpyOldDen said they were washed away.

Thanks, I think so too. Enjoyed your wombat in the dark footage eating your roses in Pambula.

Thanks, it was fun to make, but very cold on the day, so we did not spend much time out-doors getting footage.
