Fedor was great in his heyday (from approx. 2000 - 2007) but he can no longer compete with the top fighters in the world. He's getting old and you have guys who are big AND have the skills now. I guess he's cooling his career down with easier fights now... ou won't see him fight the top UFC guys now. He should share his vast experience through coaching and mentoring as he IS one of the best fighters of all time!

I really hope that this changes and that people again start appreciating the skills and devotions of fighters. Some fighters like Fedor, Couture or GSP are the exception, but that also might be because of the luxurious position their in (having enough fights to chose from).

Russians must not pay attention to global MMA because Monson isn't anywhere near the best fighter or man. In places that matter, Monson is known as journeyman or can crusher. He had SOME decent wins back in his heyday (e.g. Sergei), but he never reached the upper echelon.
