wow I'm shocked at Juan William's lack of ability to grasp this. It's as tho he's turned into a child: "It'll keep us out of recessions" (i.e. keep the boogieman away).

Watch how "green" this idiotic program is. They don't even salvage the tires or reusable parts off the cars before they demolish them. They only recycle the metal - not the glass, plastic or anything else.

If how much money is spent and how many people from a nearly random group (Here, owners of a type of running vehicle that can afford a new car) show up for the freebies is a measure of "success", then throwing money out random windows is a "success" if people below run to grab it. Why not just do that?

This program, like many government schemes, forces 99+% of us to borrow money we don't have to confer a benefit on -1%
