I hate to post this terrible news but, the bassist Daniel Birch has unfortunately this week passed away . RIP Daniel your talents will not be forgotten, at least you did see the turn of the century.
This is great! I saw it today on Alt TV and had no idea it was a Wellington band. Has a 'Faith' era Cure sound about it and maybe some early Cocteau Twins.
Funny you say they sound like 'The Cure', as apparently they (B.R.F.) did some after party gig with 'The Cure' back in 82 (i think), while they were on tour.
Also luv to see this on Alt tv... but as yet, never seen it, really hope they play it again some time!
Lucky to have both this and their other 45, Actually played this 45, a few minutes after the calendar rolled over from 1999 to 2000, austere and haunting, then I partied again
Great news Rob.. anyway to get a copy of this video? ...could swap for the Danse macabre video if keen? ...good to see yu' about lad, cheers, mike :-)
