  • Hey Mr. Nut, how successful have you been replacing the gas tube handguard? I tried on my yugo but I couldn't get the pin out. I just went ahead a bought another gas tube with the handguard already on it. Going to sand down the wood, stain, and poly. What grit do you think is good start with? My wooden stock is dull so it won't need a lot of sanding. Thanks man. have a good day.

  • @jloneill17 It sounds like you are trying to refinish your stock, I would start with 180 and work my way up.

  • Hey MrSurplusnut, I was wondering this and have never seen a clear answer. What is the weight comparison of the tapco to the original stock? Is it heavier or lighter? I'm still planning on going with the sgworks stock, but since it's a long wait I wouldn't mind having my yugo wear some other furniture if it's just as light if not lighter.

  • @savage1r I have not weighted both but for sure the tapco would be lighter is polimer material, right now this tapco is the one Iike the best for a tactical look and use, but again is a matter of which one someone likes, which I respect that, good luck........................

  • nice gun.. i got my ak 47 wasr 10 63. it has a lil mag wobble but not with the tapco mags. everything looks good on it. your sks is gonna look sweet when your done.. i might get a sks with the same furniture.. i like all your vids bro.. keep them coming.

  • @561sage Thanks.......................
