You simply do not understand what you are saying, most probably, because you've never been anywhere near an NFL training camp or practice field. The NFL is about Explosions and High Impact Collisions. You must be a genuine athlete to survive Sprinig Training, let alone a full NFL season of that kind of physical aggresiveness. I played 3 years in the NFL. I'm 3 years younger than Walker. I ran over DTs weighing in at over 315lbs. I blew through LBs weighing in at over 250lbs and I ate DBs for lunch weighing anywhere between 180lbs to over 245lbs (on ave). Stopping me was very difficult becuase of my size, speed, strength and most importantly, explosive quickness. I'm in just about the same condition as Herschel is right now. No one in MMA could stop me today - for the exact same reasons.

@njfaq2 He's obviously not going to jump right in and start landing fights with top-tier talent, both because he wants to acclimate himself to MMA, and the organizations are going to want him to prove that he's the real deal before granting him those matches. It's pretty standard stuff for most fighters (other than Brock Lesnar because of his massive earning potential).

Additionally, I would bet that he is probably doing all kinds of elite variations on those exercises and that he probably, by now, knows how to generate incredible amounts of dynamic tension and isometric power in his body and limbs as he does them, such that a Wlker pull up is different than the average pull up. Hershel Walker is not on roids he just takes care of himself. He always has. Most of what you see is genetics. But make no mistake, Herschel is REAL. He eats right, works out and leads a clean life.
I am probably saying something that most people already realize but most fights you see on tv are NOT about "best against the best". It's about "how can we highlight this fighter" and "what fight can we make the most money from". as soon as herschel goes against someone seasoned that is actually a good fighter, then he's toasted. i'm not saying he doesn't have talent. just not enough to compete in a real fight.

Brock Lesnar made Randy look like a schoolboy bitch and it was only his fourth MMA fight. I guess you're right though. Strength and Athletic ability have nothing to do with whoopin a man's ass. Physics always beats out assumptions. If a large fist makes contact squarely in the jaw the human being falls down. @specialforces69 well thats because Randy Couture's focus is and always was MMA, Herschel is really new to it, but keep in mind, Herschel walker did more in his own respective sport, football, then Randy does in MMA, and thats because he works insanly hard and is a freak athlete, the guy is a champion, football is a violent sport, and he was damn good at it, so i wouldnt doubt some of that could have translated into potential of being great at MMA had he started earlier and focused on that

48 years old, eats one meal a day, does 1,000 pushups and 3,500 situps everyday since high school. Amazing football athlete, competed in the 2-man bobsled in the Olympics. Used to be overweight and have a speech impediment until his mother told him not use these as excuses and lost the impediment and supposedly became the valedictorian of his high school. You simply do not understand what you are saying, most probably, because you've never been anywhere near an NFL training camp or practice field. The NFL is about Explosions and High Impact Collisions. You must be a genuine athlete to survive Sprinig Training, let alone a full NFL season of that kind of physical aggresiveness. I played 3 years in the NFL. I'm 3 years younger than Walker. I ran over DTs weighing in at over 315lbs. I blew through LBs weighing in at over 250lbs and I ate DBs for lunch weighing anywhere between 180lbs to over 245lbs (on ave). Stopping me was very difficult becuase of my size, speed, strength and most importantly, explosive quickness. I'm in just about the same condition as Herschel is right now. No one in MMA could stop me today - for the exact same reasons.

@njfaq2 He's obviously not going to jump right in and start landing fights with top-tier talent, both because he wants to acclimate himself to MMA, and the organizations are going to want him to prove that he's the real deal before granting him those matches. It's pretty standard stuff for most fighters (other than Brock Lesnar because of his massive earning potential).

Additionally, I would bet that he is probably doing all kinds of elite variations on those exercises and that he probably, by now, knows how to generate incredible amounts of dynamic tension and isometric power in his body and limbs as he does them, such that a Wlker pull up is different than the average pull up. I am probably saying something that most people already realize but most fights you see on tv are NOT about "best against the best". It's about "how can we highlight this fighter" and "what fight can we make the most money from". as soon as herschel goes against someone seasoned that is actually a good fighter, then he's toasted. i'm not saying he doesn't have talent. just not enough to compete in a real fight.
