When you "set" your colors... you are basically putting a powder over it right? So I could probably use the starblend powders to do the same thing?

You have to use it with either water or a mixing medium otherwise it won't work.

There's actually a tutorial on YouTube by someone on how to make your own mixing medium. I think it works with all eyeshadows, but unlike "normal" eyeshadows, the mehron colours don't actually work dry.
