I initially scoffed at the notion of a Spock/Uhura romance, until I got the book "Star Trek: 365." On p. 272, there is a still from "Elaan of Troiyus." It is a flirtatious scene between the two that ends with Spock saying, "You see, we Vulcans have natural rhythm." OMG!!!
Sadly, this scene was deleted from the show. Too bad; it might not have been canceled with more stuff like this!.

Yeah I just learned that (though you and trekkie fans already know this) that there was an episode where Uhura and Spock were originally suppose to kiss, but instead they made it Uhura and Kirk (known as the first inter racial kiss in TV history) I wish it was her and Spock! Anyway, I love the vid, because of the 2009 film I am obsessing over this ship!
I am proud that ST took the leap to be the show that featured the first inter-racial kiss on TV and similar to what you said, many of us on YouTube have expressed how we wish that kiss had ben between Spock and Uhura instead. You are in good company. We are all obsessed!

You are right, Spock does look pissed because the guy (Trelane from the episode 'The Squire of Gothos') is charming as hell and can find the words that Spock would fumble if he tried to talk in that way. That Squire is making movese on his lady!!!!
Spock does not actually watch her play the lyre. She is playing "Beyond Antares" over the intercom for Kevin Riley in the episode "The Conscience of the King."
Spock standing in the passageway is, I think, from another episode.

Wow...I had no idea there was such a following of Spock/Uhura shippers from TOS. I totally thought it was out of left field in the movie. I'm a long time trekkie(yeah not a trekker) and Spock is by far my favorite character from all series. So what I will say is that you did an amazing job putting together a vid that draws on so much emotion and feeing using clips from TOS. Wow. The relationship is still a little hard for me to swallow, but your vid is amazing. Awesome job.

*Sigh* I don't know why, but I was seriously fighting tears when watching this video. There was kind of that undercurrent of sadness at the "missed opportunities" before we were graced with STXI. Perhaps there was some off screen sexy times in TOS... a girl can hope, right? *wink*
It's really nice to rewatch the old series now with the knowledge that in the past Spock and Uhura are actually a couple. It makes you wonder if they were still together at this point, chronologically. Great video :)

I completely forgot about that shot in The Galileo Seven - I wish I had included it. As far as What Are Little Girls Made Of and Menagerie are concerned, I just don't have those episodes on my computer. I guess I'll just have to get them and make a better video. : )
