  • I love these despite the fact I can't see. It just sounds so cool. Too bad it won't do 3112 by 4096P yet though. I'd get one if I had the money though.

  • if anybody that has this tv, can please tell me if it's worth it, because i'm seriously considering getting one.

  • @GarglingBanana

i do have one of these.the blu ray pic is very crisp.not all tv stations have caught up to 1080p hd so some staions will look crappy..but the tv boost the pics to near full hd quality including games and dvd.it's not as heavy as it looks either,u and ur chic can pic it up 3 flights of stairs.also if the bulb goes out (in about 6yrs) pls read the manual its a DIY task. has great speaker dont need sorround for most shows.hope this is usefull :)

  • got the same tv

  • Got it today :)

  • to be honest i think that it isnt even that pricey for such an amazing big tv

  • we got that tv a couple of days ago, its ridiculous haha it's way too big haha

  • I have a Mitsubishi DLP - which I bought 10 years ago - I have had NO problems at all.... not even a bulb going out. I would recommend this - but like anything there is a chance (like LCD and LED, and Plasma) that you could have a lemon. Period.

  • is this 3d only? you can't just watch normal?

  • DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE BUYING THIS KIND OF TV PLEASE! - BE CAREFUL before buying Mitsubishi's DLP tvs. I have done research and discovered after at least 2 years, the screen gets WHITE DOTS and then you're screwed. The bulbs can die after just 2 years (you'll have to pay hundreds of dollars for a replacement) and then your TV will potentially develop white dots and your headache will begin. Warranty won't even cover a replacement for the board. Mitsubishi's warranty doesn't cover this. CAREFUL!

  • @xBl00dBrothersX i have a mitsubishi dlp, 73 inch, have had it for 3 and a half years great, no problems, bulb went out once, called pauls tv where i bought it from, they gave me a new bulb for free cause its under warranty, you can find the bulbs on amazon for 150 bucks, they are easy to install, you just need to pull out 3 screws.... you must work for one of the other companies

  • @afrochu I almost bought one of these things but got a 60'' 3D LED 1080p tv instead. Sure the dlp tvs are much larger and cheaper, but from the research I did online, they have a high rate of failures after 2 years and then all the headaches begin. I also have a 50'' plasma 780p from samsung and it is supposed to last for like 100,000 hours (over 15 years), and guess what? I never have to change a stupid bulb or call the company after it stops working (because yours WILL stop working)! Just wait

  • were can i buy thsi tv

  • I have a 65" but I need to buy the 3d adapter and glasses. :(

  • My uncle has 1

  • i hv a 60 inch... :)

  • Holy shit...

  • "Ok, so we get it, it's a big screen" 0:50

  • This TV is amazing Thanks Dave at Mitsubishi. We are proud be one of the repair technician's that will be making sure your product will stay in perfect working order. One question remains: Do Mitsubishi 3D glasses fit around eye glasses. Panasonic and Samsung dont.

  • Wow... They don't have to be charged but they have to be turned on??? WTF??? That makes sense.

  • @Nickelh64 its called a battery.

  • @Frankyyourpimp Yeah... I know what a battery is. He said the glasses don't have to be charged... Now if you know of a battery that doesn't have to be charged, please, PLEASE let me know where to get them... haha

  • @Nickelh64 wtf.... those batteries that you are talking about are all around you ! lmao! The are called one time use batteries! hahahah you dont get it?

  • @Frankyyourpimp My god... I meant batteries that last forever... and he said @ 1:48 that they have to be turned on but not charged... look at those glasses and the arm's of them, and tell me where some AA's are gonna fit on that thing...

  • At 1:56 "He asked, do they have to be charged?" and the other guy said, "Nope". Meaning they were either charged already so they didn't need charging, or they ones that take button batteries as they can be either. The ones that take cr2032 batteries are not only dirt cheap, but superior in that they last though about 70 3d movies before needing another 99 cent replacement. The rechargeable ones are great at first until they wear out. I prefer the button batteries for this reason.

  • @Frankyyourpimp Oh yeah, and not really... everything i own comes with a rechargeable battery...

  • @Nickelh64 you mean you only buy rechargeable batteries. Because if you dont mean that, then i know you are a lying snake!

  • @Frankyyourpimp HAHAHAHA a lying snake??? haha WTF? and no I don't... My laptop, PS3 controller, iPhone, iPod classic, Digital Camera, PSP, and all the other portable electronics I have ALL COME WITH rechargeable batteries that fit specifically to that device only... and the apple products, their batteries aren't even removable (unless you take them apart) and the only things that take plain batteries anymore are little kids toys. (cont.)

  • @Frankyyourpimp So excuse me for assuming a several thousand dollar 82" 3D TV would never come with 3D glasses that take plain non-rechargeable, single-use batteries... I didn't know they were such a terrible company.

  • @Nickelh64 they are terrible, on that i do agree with you. I got a 3d tv samsung. Two pairs of glasses that ARE rechargeable. :D . personally anything bigger then 55" its just too much to play games in. you either too close or to far.,

  • @Frankyyourpimp, Mitsubishi has many advantages in 3D over samsungs. Also 3D looks better on a bigger screen. Also size is dependent on the room you have. If you're in a room that is no bigger than 9-11 feet across, the 82 may be too large. I find it just fine from about 12 feet out, but I have a lot more space up to 50 feet. Games in 3D around 15 feet look like you are just staring through a big window. Things look nearly life size. It's hard to explain, but it's cool and worth it.

  • @codednine, I should add, the figures are rough, and I have been closer and had it look great too. I actually think it looks good in less than 12 feet too, but it gets harder to guesstimate the exact point. It partly depends on the content etc. But obviously a bigger screen means being a little further back. That said, there has never been a problem with games. Higher quality 3d like GTA4 or Crysis etc do tend to look more real.....

  • @codednine Im very happy with my tv, i went and saw this one debating on whether to return the one i have (30 days were almost up to decide to keep or return) or not. after i saw the huge trunk in the back of the 82", i laugh at it and walked away.

  • @Nickelh64, They take both, and there are a lot of glasses to choose from on the market. That TV is awesome! The HD is so crisp at 82 inches, it often looks like you are looking through a huge window when watching nature programs or whatever. And the 3D? OMG, it looks like you are looking through it, and objects float 20 feet into the room! (sometimes) It's the best one I've seen and I've compared all the sets. And again, that guy could have meant his question either way.

  • I am having a terrible time getting this 3d to work. I have a PS3 and the high speed 3d HDMI cable connecting the two...still nothing. Any ideas?

  • @Consepshun your tv should have a 3d mode in the options.

  • i have this tv, all there is now is to get that damn starter pack huh?

  • vinnytime is poor

  • Im getting this TV

  • $4,999.00 very affordable. meh.

  • @VinnyTime that was long time ago more than 1 year ago...right now is around 2500! =)

  • wooooooooooooooooo

  • I have the 73 inch version of this brand.

  • i got this tv!! :D

  • its 22'' thick

  • @TheSmashi That is what she said.

  • The best technical comment was when the interviewer stated he could not stand to close but to step back while viewing 3D to prevent a dizzinging expericence. This is REAL I have this beast and 10' to 18' is optimal. Definately a HOME THEATER piece when matched with sound system and theater chairs. Enjoy.

  • im gonna put this in my brand new 6 bedroom house

  • i wonder how thick it is because for that many mega-pixles i doubt that the tv is 1in thick like samsungs and sonys 3d tvs... Does anyone know the thickness?

  • its about 12 inches in thickness. Its not a wall mountable tv. But its a great television. I am getting mine soon.

  • man i want one of these....

  • i just got one 82 inch today and it is outstanding!! 16 speakers, 1000x faster, bluray, hd, bluetooth, and amazing 2d reslution also!! Definenty worth your money

  • What if you don't wanna use the 3d function can you turn it on and off?

  • @Kyodaikuma I was just at Art Van and saw this, there's a button you can press for 3D or 2D.

  • They have this tv at hhgregg for $2499 right now.

  • "Tell us what is behind us right now!!", thats exactly what Im trying to see, meaning less to have two guys on the video when you have that LARGE beauty screen behind, inputs?, remote control?, is this set has PIP?, real size against some human being, full image, bahhhhhh..... this guy really loves himself.

  • Went to U.E. but they didn't have a 3D setup. I didnt expect that! Im wondering if I can get a firmeware update with this model. I'll read my manual and find out.

  • those glasses make you look like your going to rave. UUNTZ UUNTZ UUNTZ UUNTZ

  • My DLP Is all greenish when I turn 3D mode on. ;(

  • @rvspawn I think it's more noticable on the menu than anything. I thought it was weird at first too but then when I watched the Disney sample disc it looked good.

  • @Spoodily So when you look at the black In the background during 3D content you don't see a green tint? Have you tried PS3 games such as Super stardust 3D? Space Is all greenish, not black at all.

  • @rvspawn I'll be hooking up my PS3 tis weekend for my birthday. I took my glasses off and on while watching the Disney disc and think that they bring the green up to compensate for the darkness the glasses add. When you are wearing the glasses everything looks as it should. If they didn't do the green tint I think everything would look entirely too dark.

Without the glasses on it does look noticably greenish, wih them on it looks great. I am using reset factory settings, no modification.

  • @Spoodily Hmm, Well I have an ISF calibrated set In the ADV mode. I just wish there wasn't a greenish tint when 3D mode was turned on. I'd rather turn up the contrast or brightness with out the green tint applied to 3D.

  • @rvspawn When you are wearing the glasses and have them turned on the green tint turns black. I just powered them on and off to test. I have a wd-65736. These newer model tvs might be slightly different but as I have tested on my tv the picture only looks green when not viewed with glasses.

  • @Spoodily Then I must have defective glasses, because I still see green In my blacks with the glasses turned on... I have a TV technician coming over this Monday. I hope Mits can make a software update or something to fix this.

  • @rvspawn I would reset the colors to factory from the menu. My tv looks great when I wear my glasses.

  • @Spoodily Just looking at the 3D video during the video at 0:29 no green tint at all in the blacks...

  • @rvspawn Your right man! That green tint is there even when I wear the glasses. I hope that doesn't stay there with the newer Mits models. Im thinking about going bigger and I would like to avoid the "green"!...

  • @bujoun76 Yeah, I had to sell my Samsung/Mitsubishi glasses because they were IR glasses. 2009 and earlier models require DLP-Link glasses like the Optoma's or XpenD 102's. They eliminate the green. The 2010 models have both DLP-Link and IR emitter compatibility. So you'll be fine If you upgrade your TV to the newer one. ;)

  • @rvspawn Im own the WD-60737 and 2 Xpand X102 glasses and the green is still there! Im going to go to Ultimate Electronics and evaluate the newer Mit's sets myself. I think ill bring me own glasses and see what happens! Should be interesting.

  • @bujoun76 Weird. If you hae DLP-Link glasses the green should go away. I did hear that XpenD glasses have a little green tint still. But not the Optomas. No green at all! Let me know how Ultimate went! ;)

  • @rvspawn What I mean is the tv itself has the greenish tint to it when I turn on the 3D mode. That's before the glasses go on! I was wondering if other Mits models have this issue too. im going to U.E. tomorrow if it doesn't rain!

  • NICE!!

  • how much???

  • i love this tv. 3d is the future of tv!!

  • @buffandsweet33 tv is the future of 3d, lol.

    I have a 65" Mits and waiting on the 3dc-1000. I got a PS3 as my main 3d source.

  • @Spoodily Hey man did you get it? I went to ultimate electronics and they had it in stock at the store! I was so pumped and the game demo's the ps3 has look absolutely incredible! Now I am debating if I should get a 3D Blu-ray player or just wait for the PS3 to get the firmware update in Sept. to turn it into a 3D Blu-ray Player.

  • @samsam1029 I thought it was coming in the mail today but it should show up tomorrow. I bought Avatar the game for x-box and downloaded the Invincible Tiger demo to check out the 3-D for now. My birthday is Saturday and I'll hook up the PS3 then. I have a Visio Blu-Ray player now but think I will end up using the PS3 as my main Blu-ray player. My dad got the Sony bdp-s570 3d player for $200 but he has no 3d tv yet. There's not enough 3D disks out yet to not be able to wait until September.

  • @samsam1029 Ok, I got my kit. I can honestly say it looks as good as the movie theater and as good or better than the lcd, etc. at best buy and stuff. I borrowed my dad's 3d player and watched the Disney disk, it looks great.
