  • Why do you only half of your eyebrows? Looks like u shaved off the ends

  • Thank you for your video Eemma. But you have a misunderstanding. In my opinion, in china cars can turn right at any time, although there is a red light in front.

  • U.S. is near the end.

  • fantastic vid. good song by the crows too. I am going to Changsha in feb and I want to do some travel docs. kinda like this, short and sweet. I really like the way you did this. I hope mine turn out good, but doubtful because no one wants to stare at a tall goofy white guy on camera.

  • lol thanks :)

  • Shanghai's great huh? - P.S. In your shanghai by night the girl at the counter said "鸡翼" which means chicken wing followed by the english word "Chicken".

Oh, by the way - you're cute. Let me know if you go back to China!

  • brillant travel video brillant views

better than from my back window

    lol

    xxx

  • I am a American white man and I am 100% with China.Fuck the Dalai Lama, the fucken fag is just a trouble maker.

When I was the monks of Tibet fighting in their robes I saw them as an organized force (ARMY) trying to over throw the Goverement of China.A goverement that has giving Tibet every thing. The Tibetan people act like AMERICAN NIGGERS.If China would walk away from Tibet the Tibetan people would starve.

If I were in Tibet and you Fuckers atacked me I would really FUCK YOU UP.

  • the outward physical modernisation moves too fast for China, moral vacuum is a sad thing. This traffic thing is not new to me. I was in another city and the even public bus just kept driving at red light and pedestrian crossing. We stared at the after the bus with our mouth hanging open!DON'T SWEAR AT US FOR GIVING HONEST FEEDBACK. The traffic thing is a 3RD world attitude and has no place in a civilised modern city. I love china and want it to be a place that one day upholds excellence

  • Agrees

  • i love your travel videos!

  • what is "small little people" bitch!

  • yes, bitch ,the " small lil people" are old ppl ,but they are still doing service to the society ,show some respect.

    thx for vid tho

  • Pretty cool stuff, thanks for sharing it with us. Liked that big building you were in.

  • "small little" people? that's not quite a respectful title!

  • who said that? shanghai ppl are one of the tallest ive seen.

  • nice video... I loved the end with the doors and that I've been to many of those places too... What did you think of my video?

  • nice vid, im currently in shanghai. im from uk

  • id love to visit it seems peaceful there. I am currently in the US and I have to say its pretty shitty.

  • hey Eemma your face looks so urgly

  • So sad the world is slowly degrading. So polluted -.-

  • oh gook just kiss your own ass

    ok?

  • what a shit whole! We always hear how Chinas cities are better then US cities but as you see in the inner city it is just as shitty as ours!

  • No, not nearly as shitty as US city in terms of shittyness. I been living there for a few years now, and i feel a million times safer in Shanghai than any US city. China doesn't have an inner city drug problem. A 4:00am walk down the street is never safety(crime) issue. Do that in a North American city with over one million... good luck!

  • same. also i feel in china and shanghai (hometown) we don't have to listen to media crap bashing china this china that all the time. majority of ppl go about their own business no one cares whether usa this world shit. it's so non intruding and shit. <333

  • shang ppl are the best. you have to deal with shang ppl when u go there. they are more human like than those rural ppl rippinng u off because of poorness and lack of education

  • the shittyness is truely about lack of moral and regards for rules and law.- can rely to be unreliable.

DON"T BITE US , WE JUST OBJECTIVE MESSENGERS OF TRUTH.

Sometimes, when we in it so deep we don't see when we look at something. step out.

  • i was just in shanghai. i'm telling lotd of bad people who try to get in buying things and take you to coffee shops. lots of liars for sure. be ware, if you guys going there .

  • I am in Shanghai right now and its a wonderful city.. A very well put together video

  • thanks! :) Oh i miss it!!

  • trafic is really a big problem in china but it's getting better now

  • Welcome to shanghai!

  • it's a tight place

  • at 1:40 u can hear Jay Chou's hei se mao yi lol

  • yeah haha of course they honk for a reason...to tell others to get out of the F*$#@ way!

  • Great Video, nice editing and music to accompany, beautiful city indeed and thx to the beautiful and talented Eemma who shared it, men du har väl hört för mycket av detta redan:P

  • just the normal sh live. pretty nice video.

  • Cool, I've been all those places..

And I think that music in the Jin Mao is Jay Chou, btw...

  • sounded like BSB to me :P

  • I got scammed in shanghai also at a chinese teahouse, if you've been scammed then report it at scamspottersdotcom

  • ......... i got robbed in shanghai

  • woups =/

  • a culture shock.

  • I got where you're coming from. Culture is being swept away; air quality is poor; everything is modern; traffic is horrendous; and they paved paradise (was it ever?)

I just returned from Shanghai. This video expressed my 10-day visit best.

  • huhuhu..now i really miss shanghai..such a beautiful city =(

  • Pokai

  • Shanghai is awesome. One of the most beautiful city in the world but Hangzhou and Xuzhou people are more friendly. That is my personal toughts.

  • im going shaghai for 3 months woop woop cant wait

  • woho! Shanghai is so much fun! You'll love it!

  • i like this one, thks for posting it. This is a real Shanghai, busy, fast and modern as long as lanes and ordinary people. Really enjoyed the view inside Jingmao Tower in Pudong and the beep for Metro as a meaningful ending.

  • hihi thanks :)

  • Eemma...u so beautiful...

  • u make me miss shanghai, eemma

  • great vid, thanx for sharing

  • Good job Ms Eemma!! ^.^ Your vid is pleasant to watch and the song matches it!! That makes me feel like visiting Shanghai this year!!

  • Awesome vid! Like the music too.

  • ha i've been in shanghai for 2 months now and yes traffic here is nuts, everyone seem to have their own take on the traffic system. and honking the horn is compulsory:)

  • The song is the building is by Taiwanese pop star Jay Chou.

Love your videos! So much better than what's on TV.

  • heh i see your correcting yourself in the description ^^;

  • China is experiencing rapid economic growth ,.. 20 years ago people in china were riding bikes and walking down crowded streets now theres like a 1 car for every 3 people there,..and kfc's and mc donalds ,..malls,..its insane ! ! its interesting to see the impact and changes this will have on China and other countries that "look up," to China as one of the worlds economic leaders ,..yep

  • Agree with you! Time will tell.

  • That building is tall!!!

  • I know!!!

  • awesome editing! Looks like you had a blast! I got a great feeling just watching this video.... time to watch your nightlife in the next video =)

    -Mahfuz

  • It looked awesome there, just a little tricky to get over the road.. =P

Great video, emma and hope you had alot of fun!

  • haha, i think they're playing jay chou's music. he's good alright! i've been to that tower, but i went in the night and the view waslike breath taking!!! =) who did you went with anyway?

  • hehe :) Ouh, yeah at night.. i can imagine! I went with some relatives :)

  • very clever ending, lol, hope you had fun

  • Watch out for their spit, they spit alot.

  • Too late.

  • haha

  • much less, ever changing fast.

  • Wow they really cleaned up the place. Looks a bit like Eastern Europe.

  • Cool video...I like to go there someday...

  • interesting! That´s what YT is for!

    funny ending!

  • the Bund is a the shiznit

  • hey emma...ummm...cool vid...luv to see life as you...peace.

  • did u go there by yourself?

  • Hey Eemma, cool music choice again. Shanghai looks crowded, how many Chinese you bump.

  • Very creative architecture

  • wow that was beautiful emma. the editing was delicious and the ending was touching... more more more!

  • thanks youuuu! :D

  • Superb vid, Eemma :)

  • 3.17.07

Eemma. I also loved the closing of the door. It punctuated the moment, made me think that you were glad to be out of the city. May not be true but after all of the images and dialog seemed to suggest finality and a certain happiness to be on your way again. Could be wrong. :)

    "cat"

  • Eeeek, wrong! ;D I had the best time ever, the last thing i wanted- was to leave.

  • 3.17.07

Eemma. Good! Soooorrry. I was hoping that I had mis-interpreted. Loved the Adventures of Eemma in China. How close were you to the Great Wall? What about hygiene in the city? What about night clubs and social things like that?

    "cat"

  • Hehe :) I was very close to the great wall.. i even walked on it ;D The hygiene? Well, the toilets sucked :P And for the night clubs, i'm not social :P

  • Thank you for sharing this with us. I'm looking forward to more.

    Great job.

  • Thanks for the view into Shanghai. Ay carumba-- looks like quite a smoggy Gotham. Did your eyes water from the smog?

  • thanks! ^^ nope nope :)

  • Great Emma, As always!

  • Eemma very nice video. I really liked the closing of the subway door at the end. I always wondered what China was doing with the 700 billion dollar trade deficit they have been running with us each year: Building sky scrapers and paving paradise :)

  • Hahah :P

  • You've got skills girl! Another great video. Have you ever told us what you were doing in China?

  • I'm telling you right now ^^

  • Eemma, would you please inlighten us as to why you are in Sweden, it seem from your accent that your an American or at least spent your early years in America. I've watched all your videos and you've never explained it.

  • I am swedish, I am born in Sweden. Therefor i live in sweden :P Haha As simple as that! Yes, that's true.. I've lived abroad for a couple of years :)

  • Thanks Eemma, Your "enlightenments", illuminate my life.

  • GREAT VIDEO EMMA

  • Now I want to go there. Thank you so much for awesome video!

  • man, you're lucky! I bet you never forget this trip. It looks super interesting and super fun. Thanks for sharing Eemma

  • Thanks :) You're right, i will never forget it!

  • So, tell me you didn't try crossing that street Eemma!!

Don't they have traffic police ? did you see any accidents??

  • I stayed on one side of the street all the time, i promise! Yeah, they do have some traffic police.. but only during rush hour and at the most busy streets. Nope, i didn't seen any accidents! Very weird!

  • One thing about holding chopsticks - just do it whatever way you fricking can, doesn't matter - - my uncle from china holds them inside upside down - nobody cares, the food still gets to yer mouth.

Looking foward to your next installment,

    Steve

  • Hahah :P Agree with you!

  • Emma, my wife is chinese and I have been to southern china twice. I love your video. Yes the honking is insane.. they basically honk to say WATCH OUT FOR ME!

But suprisingly enough, I never saw any accidents in china. I got to hang out with the natives, so I got more of an insight to what is going on that in a tour group.

  • Heya! :D Sounds awesome! My uncle's girlfriend is chinese and lives in Shanghai, we were visiting her. So we also got a different insight than what normal tourists would get :)

  • so, you didnt drink at cloud 9 in the jinmao tower?! :-( ... yeah, old town rocks! have you been to element fresh, bar rouge or the exhibition center?

  • Sorry, doesn't ring a bell :(

  • you haven`t really been to shanghai, have you?! hehe, ;-P

  • Damn, busted.

  • Haha, nice. I was scared for my life in some instances crossing the streets in China. Apparently drivers try to stare down traffic (pedestrians, cars, etc.), and if that doesn't work they resort to honking. The trick is to not release your foot off the gas in any circumstance.

  • Haha very true!!

  • Great architecture - Thanks for taking us along!

  • Wait 'til you see the old town! :D

  • Your music was so appropriate. The architecture is really odd isn't it? o_0 Thanks for sharing your adventure.

  • Thanks :D Yes, very interesting architecture!!

  • Great video! Very Nice editing, perfect soundtrack to the movie! And now! Let's work on the "camerawork"! Just take a little more time to think about your camera-movement. Try to think about what movement you will make and (most important) where you want to finish your move. It will make your videos even better. Yes! Even your videos can improve ;P (well a little)! FHWL, Rogier

  • dude shes on holiday

  • Hahah thanks for the input :D yeah I know, it's something i will work on.. But i can't stand these typical family-home-made-vacation-videos where no-one is talking and the dad is just moving the camera almost in slow-mo from left to right, left to right. I want you to see it as if it were from my own eyes.. A bit bumpy and blurry.. If you know what i mean ^^

  • And you pefectly manage to do that. It's one of the things that makes your video's alife and fascinating. It's really like watching through your eyes and not that static crap they show us on regular TV.

  • I'm getting a microscopic camera implanted into my left eye this weekend. So you can *really* watch through my eyes!

  • How did the operation go?

  • It was a success! :D The zoom feature is fantastic!! I have to wear a patch over the eye for about one week though. I've debating weather or not now if I should get the right eye done...

  • thank you dex :)

  • Your music/footage collaborating is second to none. It really brought the whole experience to life! I noticed some similarities to NY, only less bikes here and more taxi's. This video really makes me want to go out and start filming away! :)

  • How many more times do i have to hear that before you actually start filming? ;D

  • Just 1 or 2 more.

  • Okay then.

  • Hehe i love the start, so funny ;-)!Nice little insite there,Eek that building is BIG,The inside is scary :'(.Keep posting your clips of your trip :-).Looks like ya had a great trip and loving your music.

  • All the videos i have watched on YT none have spoken to me the way this one has and i mean that with all my heart.Fantastic!! Eemma you should win an award for this or something. Its speaks volumes.

    Spenc

  • omg, thank you so much :) Your comment really touched me :) Thank you!

  • I think the part that got me the most is towards the end when the little chinese boy is running behind your cab and smiling and the whole time the pollution, concrete, and sprawl is all around you both.

Really ....it just completely got the voiceless scream across.

    Spenc

  • awe :) Thank you again!!

  • love the ending :)

  • Ok, you rock at editing, you have a way to make things look very pleasant, when in reality they're not. I can't stand crowds, but heights don't! Great vid, Emma! 5 bling blings!

  • To me it wasn't hard to edit at all. It was pleasent all the way. I'm glad it looks that way too :)

  • It looks dirty, and the traffic is bad. I'm getting the impression that China kind of sucks, but in a bad way. Eema is a nice traveling companion, though.

  • If you like clean air, you probably won't like China or India. Hopefully they do something about their air quality.

  • The air is very "dirty". But other than that, it's spotless. It's so clean everywhere! I know it looks kinda grey on here, but alot of it has to with YT messing up the quality of the picture. And of course in the summer it would look more "fresh". But I kinda get what you mean. But China doesn't suck :)

  • That's good to hear. But now I have around a billion people to apologize to.

  • LOL.

  • Eemma I got it figured out! You could be a travel reporter? Y'know Youtube could sponsor you to travel all over the world and give us a video of where you are? Wouldn't that be cool?! All expenses paid of course and you can bring your family with you as well.

  • Where do i sign?

  • yeah well, there are some wrinkles to the idea...lol

  • haha :P

  • traffic is very caothic!!!

  • nice vid,as usual good choice of music and facial expressions. did you go with your family?

  • thanks :) Not family, but relatives :) Or maybe that's the same thing.. Dunno. :P

  • Glad I subscribe ... lots of greats vids from you. Keep it up!!

  • Glad you subscribed :D

  • nice tour of shanghai=D

  • awesome vid!

  • It looks like nobody`s has got there drivers license, getting to the other side of the street is like russian roulette. But Shanghai is a big contrast, with all the new buildings and in between the old houses or porches. Just like new york city where you have alle the buildings and then you have Saint Patricks Cathedral. (looks wrong, but you know what i mean) Loved the ending a real closing.

  • Maybe whe could all go. The whole Emma Community all 1377

people;) Sponsered by the coke you where drinking in the beginning of your vid.

  • Sounds like an awesome idea!! :D Let me know when you've got Coca Cola on your side ;D

  • Lolzzz count me in will ya ^^

  • thank youuu :D

  • great video :) i love seeing another country! i hope you had fun!

  • Thanks Jill :D It's a pretty cool country too! I would have loved to go there more later in the spring though. But i had an amazing trip, yes :)

  • The shot from the top of the tallest building in china looking down was soooo scary. I felt like I was going to fall in the hole. Looks like you had fun though. Keep those Shanghai videos coming they're entertaining!!

  • Cool video! Makes me want to visit my home country sometime soon. Looking forward to more videos! :D

  • i liked the movie, its interesting to see the two sides of the city.. the skycraper's one, and the poor's!!!but, of course, the best part was eemaa's hair on the wind. hehe

    hugs from brazil

  • haha lol, thanks ;P Yeah, it's a very interesting city!

  • Haha, I loved how you ended the video this time. I can't wait for the rest of your Shanghai videos. :D!!!!
