No, not nearly as shitty as US city in terms of shittyness. I been living there for a few years now, and i feel a million times safer in Shanghai than any US city. China doesn't have an inner city drug problem. A 4:00am walk down the street is never safety(crime) issue. Do that in a North American city with over one million... good luck!

I just returned from Shanghai. This video expressed my 10-day visit best.
i like this one, thks for posting it. This is a real Shanghai, busy,fast and modern as long as lanes and ordinary people. Really enjoyed the view inside Jingmao Tower in Pudong and the beep for Metro as a meaningful ending.
ha i've been in shanghai for 2 months now and yes traffic here is nuts, everyone seem to have their own take on the traffic system. and honking the horn is compulsory:)

Haha, nice. I was scared for my life in some instances crossing the streets in China. Apparently drivers try to stare down traffic (pedestrians, cars, etc.), and if that doesn't work they resort to honking. The trick is to not release your foot off the gas in any circumstance.

Hahah thanks for the input :D yeah I know, it's something i will work on.. But i can't stand these typical family-home-made-vacation-videos where no-one is talking and the dad is just moving the camera almost in slow-mo from left to right, left to right. I want you to see it as if it were from my own eyes.. A bit bumpy and blurry.. If you know what i mean ^^
And you pefectly manage to do that. It's one of the things that makes your video's alife and fascinating. It's really like watching through your eyes and not that static crap they show us on regular TV.
It was a success! :D The zoom feature is fantastic!! I have to wear a patch over the eye for about one week though. I've debating weather or not now if I should get the right eye done...
Your music/footage collaborating is second to none. It really brought the whole experience to life! I noticed some similarities to NY, only less bikes here and more taxi's. This video really makes me want to go out and start filming away! :)

I think the part that got me the most is towards the end when the little chinese boy is running behind your cab and smiling and the whole time the pollution,concrete,and sprawl is all around you both.

The air is very "dirty". But other than that, it's spotless. It's so clean everywhere! I know it looks kinda grey on here, but alot of it has to with YT messing up the quality of the picture. And of course in the summer it would look more "fresh". But I kinda get what you mean. But China doesn't suck :)

But i can't stand these typical family-home-made-vacation-videos where no-one is talking and the dad is just moving the camera almost in slow-mo from left to right, left to right. I want you to see it as if it were from my own eyes.. A bit bumpy and blurry.. If you know what i mean ^^

And you pefectly manage to do that. It's one of the things that makes your video's alife and fascinating. It's really like watching through your eyes and not that static crap they show us on regular TV.

It was a success! :D The zoom feature is fantastic!! I have to wear a patch over the eye for about one week though. I've debating weather or not now if I should get the right eye done...

Your music/footage collaborating is second to none. It really brought the whole experience to life! I noticed some similarities to NY, only less bikes here and more taxi's. This video really makes me want to go out and start filming away! :)

I think the part that got me the most is towards the end when the little chinese boy is running behind your cab and smiling and the whole time the pollution,concrete,and sprawl is all around you both.
Really ....it just completely got the voiceless scream across.

Ok, you rock at editing, you have a way to make things look very pleasant, when in reality they're not. I can't stand crowds, but heights don't! Great vid, Emma! 5 bling blings!

It looks dirty, and the traffic is bad. I'm getting the impression that China kind of sucks, but in a bad way. Eema is a nice traveling companion, though.

The air is very "dirty". But other than that, it's spotless. It's so clean everywhere! I know it looks kinda grey on here, but alot of it has to with YT messing up the quality of the picture. And of course in the summer it would look more "fresh". But I kinda get what you mean. But China doesn't suck :)

It looks like nobody`s has got there drivers license, getting to the other side of the street is like russian roulette. But Shanghai is a big contrast, with all the new buildings and in between the old houses or porches. Just like new york city where you have alle the buildings and then you have Saint Patricks Cathedral. (looks wrong, but you know what i mean) Loved the ending a real closing.

The shot from the top of the tallest building in china looking down was soooo scary. I felt like I was going to fall in the hole. Looks like you had fun though. Keep those Shanghai videos coming they're entertaining!!
