The Manga's so much better, I think. I mean, one of the villains Zenitsu was totally removed from here, and the Kikuo, the guy with the patch over his eye, has his bar-code eye removed by gurreilla soldiers in Cambodia (he didn't take it out himself like in the mini-series).

i bought the manga yesterday... i read the back and it looked like it had promise lol. I am a big fan of this genre etc... but i start reading it, and it just jumps into stuff quickly and it really doesn't make sense.... i get the feeling that this manga is just based on gruesome pictures rather than story... lemme know if i am wrong haha (i am still going to finish the first volume).

make sure to read the manga first. The t.v show warps the story too much. it's still really good. But if you want the full effect of the flower children, you have to read the manga.

I rented this of Amazon and it was very clumsily edited, I think. Some of the scenes were pixilated and some weren't, particularly the images of the "flower girls". Is there a version I should be looking for that does not have the shitty pixilaiton in, or is it standard?

From what I've heard the pixilation is on most if not all prints due to the fact that it was made for TV and so had censor some of the more extreme scenes.
