I still remember getting a VHS in the mail from Nintendo Power that was a behind the scenes production before the game was released. We couldn't afford the game for a while, so I would walk to Toys R Us so I could play the demo console set up in the aisles. Revolutionary.

OMG, the BEST thing to ever happen to me in my life! Right here, It's undescribable and it came with the best game you could hope for DKC. Coming home with a brand new system and box. Oh man, if only I had a time machine. I only regret throwing the box out a few years ago after holding on to it for years. Wish I could hold it.

I was always a 'Sega Kid' back in the day...but I remember seeing Donkey Kong on my friend's snes and my jaw literally dropping. The graphics were crazy good for the time. Even now it still holds up really well. Classic game.

The Genesis was maybe faster than the SNES (Genesis : 7.67 MHz - SNES : 3.58 MHz), but SNES had better RAM, better graphic, better sound, and no fucking need to buy add-ons to play a few more good games, so all the good games could be played right when you buy the SNES.

On top of that, the SNES was supported by Capcom, Konami and Square, while the Genesis was almost on his own.

In Donkey Kong Country, all I'm constantly doing in every level is just moving in a straight line to the end with hardly any interesting variety, the bosses are easy, and it's just....boring. I can't like it. I'm trying to. The SNES's CPU was so slow compared to Genesis. SNES had better graphics. But Genesis had "blast processing"!!
