Unfortunately, "meaningless mudslinging" appeals to Canadians; we have seen that from the Conservative TV ads. While the Liberals didn't start it, I'm quite happy they are finally responding to the Conservative ads. It's not the high road, but it is necessary.

This is the video I've been waiting for. As Canadians, we're famous for being "nice", the world over. That said, 'Harper's Government" hasn't been playing nice for years now and I'm happy that the Liberal party has finally responded in kind. If you don't like "Harper's Government" now, just imagine what could happen if they win a majority in the next election. It's time to wake up, Canada. @2010tessa i dont care, i hate how people are bitching about harper spending money on our military, back when the avro arrows was being developed it was the opposite, the liberals were putting the money into it and then the conservatives stopped the research and destroyed the prototypes, in 1993 we need replacement for helicopters that were very old and were constantly groounded, the conservatives had set up to buy some AgustaWestland AW101 and then he cancelled it and had to pay a 500 million

The Conservatives are trying to force us to make the biggest purchase IN THE HISTORY OF OUR COUNTRY, and it's to buy a bunch of fighter planes OUR MILITARY ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT NEED! We need search & rescue aircraft, these can't even do that! Harper wants us to buy planes we don't need and won't even admit the cost is THIRTY BILLION FUCKING DOLLARS. @malefic Its not 30 Billion dollars, that is ridiculous. And we do need better aircraft for our military, its not that we dont need them its upgrading the ones we have so if we do need them. Im in the air force and our planes are crap and are death traps, and since we fly in those things im kinda glad that we are getting them, and I work with the search and rescue, and the coast guard and yes we need more boats, but in the chopper department we are fine.

@1234canadian1234 wrong the history behind the arrows was in part of unding from the US military and canadian military which got cut and then the conservatives came in and replaced them with ground to air missiles which went obsolete with in 5 years! THe avro arrows where passed the stage of prototypes they had a working fleet of avro arrows versions 1 to 4 and all had the most advanced tech at the time some of wich was developed down the road from where i live!
