Not to be too critical, but I'm from Portland. Judging from his written description of where he was, I think there is a strong possibility the guy was looking up at Crown Point. The flashes would then simply be people in the parking area around the building causing some srobe effect. The light is probably on the building so aircraft don't hii it. I-84 is quite a ways below Crown Point, but the place is clearly visible.

On second thought, the lights down and to the left of the hill he is observing tell me this is not crown point. Looks more in-town than that. But there are several hills in the area with antennas and red lights on them so aircraft don't hit them. Other possibility is that he is looking at either Powell Butte or Rocky Butte.

I can back you up..I was near Government Camp in the Gorge on 84 by Multnomah Falls and seen something similar to what you were filming.

Got to argue with you here. Government Camp is nowhere near I-84 and it is not in the Gorge. It is at the base of Mt. Hood and is located on a southfacing slope. I-84 is about 25-30 miles NE. You are most likely not telling the truth.

Excuse me, haven't been out there in some time, fact is, the body of land in the Columbia I am referring to is just west of Kidney Lake. Hope that clears it up. Truthfully, I did see this exact figure, and no I was not on drugs.

You were looking at the wrong thing. Amazing how a person will focus on only one piece of an image instead of the entire frame. Proven to be true in most people. Explain the flashes please. I Once saw something similar and it scared the hell out of me. That flashing, brings up some bad memories.
