  • Damn... Gustav was a Category 5 once it foirmed, and then once it made landfall, it was a CAT 2. I live in Panama City, Fl. I was close to getting hit! But I did get some thunderstorms that day.

  • ...certainly sounds like a Stephen Arnold piece... it almost reminds me of 'Evolution' that they did for that Dallas affiliate, WFAA perhaps?

  • @wiiluigi1992 Don't you think they should return this music for Major Hurricane Irene?!

  • hey look-a green swirl of death!!! XD

  • @michaelvincent178 well the song is called "Eye of the storm" i think, soo a Hurricane has an eye wall thing lol

  • There's another calm version of this music...

I loved waiting for the Local on the 8s to listen to this back in 2005

  • that music and the thunderstorm reminds me that we are flying a kite outside to the park and my son wants to go home and my son felt sad, that was sad. :( ;( :[

  • Hey, please answer, how do you get intellistar?

  • I feel sad for those people who work at the constriction sites

  • OMG i just saw hurricane ike at da bottom right corner WOW

  • Comment removed

  • @Daggerlord666 That is Hurricane hannah -_-

  • @esamhk agree

  • Whoa, nice sat/rad view there! BTW, this is the first 2006 SAT theme :)

  • i saw gustav but not hannah

  • 0:31 OMFG!

  • This is the storm alert theme from 06/07

  • My mistake, like a week worth of isolated thunder storms

  • Omg! That is amazing that I can see with my own eyes that there are like a week worth of Scattered Thunder Storms. And I don't even get weather like that. But I know that there are more storms in your area by how the pattern is with the precipitation.

  • once I had that in our area, all week, the DirecTV said thunderstorm possibility, 30-40 percent. and today, the highest ever;100%!

  • i love the song! even with sever weather.

  • Oh how much I LOVED hearing this on the LF when Ike was roaring towards.I love the song, just a reminder of a bad storm that knocks your power, Also Ive never heard Allen Jackson say: " Incidents and construction impacting our area" and even we have traffic reports (for Houston)

  • Yea, surprisingly there are only a few markets who have this narration, especially newer ones. However, this Intellistar at one time did have a Traffic Overview map. Like Houston, it didn't have the Traffic Incident narration but rather the traffic map narrations, (just as you see it on your Intellistar now.) It wasn't until the Traffic Overview map in Orlando was disabled when the "Incidents and construction impacting our area" narration took place.

  • was it bad

  • What is the "Local Weather ID" for? It is displayed at the beginning of the Local Forecast.

  • its for local forecasts on the internet. if you cant type the city you want, type in that code and you'll get that city.

  • Actually, it's used to keep record and identify IntelliStar units from your cable company & or other carriers.

  • This song, cool as it is, seems kind of odd to me. Is it designed to get people pumped up for getting destroyed by a hurricane?

  • SAME MUSIC??????!!?!?? HAHA, ARE YOU FUCKING DEAF?

The enerjetic version displayed during Katrina and my Ike video is the actual version. This version in this video is TONED DOWN, DILUTED, and flat-out messed up. It's like they are using the xylophone instead of the awesome string that they use in my version. This version is terrible. The real version is awesome, and makes me dance.

  • VercittiGangBoy-

You are right. The way that I can tell it is the 2006 version just by listening to the high notes 1:02 to 1:05 into the video,

  • This is actually the 2006 theme, a lot of people get this confused with the 2005 for some reason

  • GREAT VIDEO!!!! 5/5 STARS!!!

  • SO DO U

  • This is the 2006 version, you littlebitch. MY VIDEO contains the real 2005 version which is the best and most energetic song in the world.

The 2006 Alberto/Ernesto etc. version featured is diluted, cheerless, and makes me want to flat-out puke.

  • STOP BEING MEAN

  • I heard this when Hanna went right over us... kinda surreal

  • I noticed I heard this before, thinking it was the weather channel theme. After hearing it about 15 times today I started to like the song. To me it sounds similar to the ER theme. When I heard this it was during Ike hitting the Texas coast...but I live in Ohio. LOL.

  • The music is the same over the entire country regardless of where the storm is hitting.

[I guess Ike is severe enough to use the original music used during 2005.]

  • I found the actual name of that song. It's called "Eye of the Storm" by Stephen Arnold Music.

  • AMAZING

  • Thanks!

  • omfg the same thing happened to me

  • i was bein rocked around in baton rouge at that time

  • I love hearing this music whenever a hurricane hits...

  • That's more like a remix of the '05 storm alert...check out the video I sent ya of the LF I recorded the night before Hurricane Katrina hit..that's the real storm alert!!

  • Ya it's the remix used in 2006.. doesn't seem so intense than it did in 2005

  • its awesome their playing this again
