  • that museum is a joke, there is only two traps, I heard in the past that was the best museum with real skulls and a lot of traps. The catholic church paid something to reduce the malignity of the inquisition in Lima.

  • The Spaniards knew how to deal with savages from Peru, Mexico and the Philippines.

  • I didn't expected that!

  • The Inquisition was backed and headed by the RCC and the civil authorities had to comly or be excommunicated......

  • Jews same thing doing to the palastinians

  • People should also consider that this was a time where corporal punishment and the death penalty where universally embraced as a proper deterrent to crime, immorality, and heresy, which is a grave danger to the soul. They punished the person in an attempt to save their soul. That was their mentality. Of course, its wrong, but it also isn't any kind of major fault of the Church exclusively, but simply an archaic view of justice.

  • It boggles my mind why hollywood still dwells upon making films about the Holocaust, when I would really like to see films made about the first holocaust, the inquisition. Millions died because of the church and their stronghold over the planet with false accusations of religious bullshit!! Humanity is a few hundred years behind where we should be because of the church. But hey, it was the lord's will... or so they thought.

  • God damned catholics. There is no pardon for all the tortures of your medieval inquisition. The blood of the martyrs cries for revenge for many centuries. If you are a catholic, you will share from the cup of God's wrath together with your predecessor!

And be sure that no Mary and no other saint will help you. And be sure that you'll go to hell if you don't repent. And no money, and no connections will redeem you from eternal fire.

It's a good place to say Anathema on you all!

  • los españoles son una mierda peor que los nazis!!!

  • Caraca a faixada do museu parece uma IURD

  • The Spanish's Inquisition was abolished in 1834 but in countries of South America like Uruguay the Catholic Inquisition officially ended in 1909 when an Indian from the Charrua's Tribe was burned alive on an upright stake for refusing to become a Catholic. Sure the Catholics stopped burning people alive in Uruguay but years later the Catholics created Chaos by accussing the people of being Communists so with the help of the USA CIA up to 20% of the population dissappered during the 1970 - 1996.

  • it blows my mind what were they thinking back than

  • @MrDiablolord If you replace 'words' in this sentence, "The 'Inquisition' hunted and killed suspected 'Heretics'"

with: 'Department of Homeland Security' and 'Terrorists', it kinda makes you wonder what the fuck we're thinking now lol.

  • one tribe against the (an) other

  • You forgot the most diabolical torture: THE COMFY CHAIR!!!

  • The Freedom Tower in Miami, Florida has a touring version of the Inquisition and Medieval Torture in display until August 29th. It was a very haunting experience to see actual torture equipment recovered from sites where they were used. The best part was the history of the Inquisition and modern reviews of its impact. These days, the number of those killed is estimated to be much lower, but the massive torture system used by all law enforcers was terrifying indeed still.

  • this is why you dont mix religion with politics

  • Hitler also deserves a museum

  • If you read the bible you will see that it says " there are many who will come in Christs name who can't be trusted." God is the God of love and ALL organised religion is corrupt. Only the Bible is true but those who use it to justify their crimes will rot in Hell. The spirit of the 10 commandments as expressed by Jesus is Love God and Love one another as God loves us. I can't see anything about Christian Torture in there. Can you?

  • NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOO BODY EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION!

  • Anyone up for "South Park?"

  • Religion forces its beliefs. Jesus Christ doesn't. "Come unto me all ye who are weak and heavy laden (religion is a burden) and I will give you rest" says Jesus. He said His burden is light. Afterall, He paid it ALL.

  • This is rubbish with regard to bring people and money to a place where they have not anything interesting to see. If Spanish Inquisition had been as they try to depict it, there would be a museum like this with REAL stuff in Spain, but real stuff does not exist in the way it is displayed in this "museum". Strange things you would see, my dear Sancho...

  • BLACK LEGEND ( uk invent) ...other countries maked more atrocities than the spanish inquisition ... : /

  • What is better a very mild form of reprimand or eternaty in Hell as a heratic. Use your brains all you people whoe hate the Inquisition becouse it reminds you of how YOU look to God

  • And Western Nations want to be defenders of Human Rights...

  • And Western Nations want to be the defender of Human Rights? LOL. Look at these violations of human rights.

  • there is another inquisition that took place with the backing of the catholic church,,, and that was in 1934 ,, not that long ago.. the church allowed for priest and monks to dress up in nazi uniforms and go into croatia and kill people who refused to become catholic,,,,, they also stole the gold from that country,, gold in which they still have in vatican banks.. they are responsible for the killing of 750,000 people with hammers and axes,, go to googe " nazi gold and vatican"

  • spain has commit the bigges't warcrimes ever . south america, europe , phillipines..... in the name of god

    shame on you spain

  • The Inqusition was never abolished.

The name of the office was changed.

The current pope (formerly a Nazi Youth Corp member) was the head of the office of Doctrine and chief advisor of the last pope before his election. The Inqusition used Isabella and Ferdinand and other soverigen rulers to execuite heritics since 1834, until this day. Stalin killed Orthodox, Pol Pot killed Buddists, Hitleer killed protestants.

Search "vatican assassins", The Grand Design Exposed" and the Black Pope.

  • Then why did Hermann Goering in 1933 ban all Catholic papers in Colne Germany? Hitler viewed the Catholic Church as the largest threat to the Nazis. At what point did the Church ever support the German National Socialist Party? The fact is it (the Church) never supported them. There may have been clerics who supported the Nazis, but however many clerics did support them, they didn't speak for the Church. Do you speak for all anti-Catholic propagandists? I think not!

  • The Pope was a member of the Hitler youth a origination all boys had to join by law, you cant hold that against him. and get your facts right before you make anyone sound like a nazi.

  • ever young boy was Hitler youth ...by law

  • @DAILEYericCaryUSA At first, the pope never was a Nazi. In Hitler's Germany, from 1936, there was only one choice for the Children: to join to the Hitlerjugend. At second, the Spanish Inquisition (Suprema) and the Roman Inquisition are NOT the same.

  • @DAILEYericCaryUSA "Stalin killed Orthodox, Pol Pot killed Buddists, Hitleer killed protestants. "

And Hitler persecuted Catholics, as did it Stalin too.

  • @DAILEYericCaryUSA

i thought hitler killed Jewish people or anyone not part of the so called hairain race ? (sorry about spelling)

  • @DAILEYericCaryUSA

Dumbest piece of bullshit I ever heard. Can't believe people actually believe this.

  • @DAILEYericCaryUSA USA and the West kills muslims... hey it all makes sense...

  • @DAILEYericCaryUSA It is easy to fake the Facts. Its true the former Pope was a young Nazi member but not by choice !!! Dont forget the concrete camps was not only for Jews as well all enemies the Hitler. If the young Benedict XVI refuse to join the Nazis. He got a second chance well the kids school if still refuse to join the Nazis. The Nazis will be send the young Benedict XVI to camp to finally eliminate. Part 2

  • The Philippines became a Spanish colony from 1521 until around 1898-1900. Did the Philippines experience the inquisition?

  • @gps456 I don't think that, because those targeted persons of the Suprema were mostly the conversos (Marranos or Morriscos). They were frequently the members of the European Freemason movements, like the Alumbrados in Spain.

  • @gps456 no , they just got turned into the "igo" and forced to change their names and basically enslaved. therefore most filipinos hate spanish people even if they are 1/4 spanish . there is even a religion that teaches hate against spanish people even if they dont know about the inquisition. pretty sad huh?

  • @gps456 yes there was an inquisitions here during their time here on Philippines. i

  • @gps456 yes, in fact our national hero is the one ... Jose Rizal

  • @death5ter You're right! The la filipina independente was formed and was anathemized by Rome! Rizal was a member of la filipina independente! Naku! Buhay na buhay talaga si padre damaso!

  • @gps456 since they exist, no

  • @gps456 The Spolarium painting of Juan Luna seems to portray inquisition.

  • Thank you for this video. Although brief, it is enlightening as I had no idea the Spanish Inquisition was in Peru as well. God rest the souls of all who were brutally and mercilessly tortured. Peace to all...

  • NOBODY expects the spanish inquisition!!!!

    (diabolical laughter)

  • yeah right sure.

  • @galitsatalangka they is no god.

  • If the world is really under the rulership of the True Living God-God of Love-this world shouldnt be like this, right? So for sure,Satan the falling angel,is misleading people so that those who will follow him will be carried out with him to total destruction-mind you-no fiery hell-its unbiblical to believe in it-another false religion's belief, but hell is a common grave that everyone's final resting place...

  • The Church then feared that thru translating the bible people might be able to know about their leaders hyprocrisy and malicious intent to mislead its members, see,how they become guilty of killing those innocents searching for the true worship, Church is the active member of the Babilonian the Great that symbolizes false religion in the bible that will be killed by the Beast that symbolizes the political group....both under the rulership of god of this world..Satan

  • Folks, can't we all just get along? It's gonna be ok. T.I.N.G.

  • The Spanish inquisition was very bad. Did you know that the 2 guys who translated the bible into spanish where persecuted and the pope wanted them killed. Thank GOD for Cipriano de Valera and Casiodoro. Those guys where put to the test and came out victorious in JESUS. If it wasn't for them we wouldn't have a bible translated into SPANISH.

  • fuck ALL religions

  • I'm with you dude. It seems that the slow process of people evolving out of religion is happening. We have only discovered genetics, the laws of physics, astronomy, and anthropology within the last century so it will take a while but eventually people are going to have to find another way to feel superior and to justify genocide.

  • Yes I agree. What it seems to me that it is happening is this, we are now making scientific discoveries that are stopping religious people from saying "God fucking did it with magical coloured super powers". Let scientists score on abiogenesis and the big bang and they are done, finito, religion is history. Peace man/miss

  • hey buddy, nice to hear someone who is with me. The majority of responses I get are people who think they are destined to "rule the world." We are living in a real life Idiocracy.

  • @infinitecycle Let scientists score on abiogenesis?, i know scientists i know chemists and i know that no scientist has "scored" anything on abiogensis or any of its theorys, even Miller, that man who wrote the book on modern chemistry said "the very idea or theory that life just spontaniously arose from non living materials or random chemicals is completely un scientific", Abiogensis has never been proven and goes against science.

    Abiogenesis is pseudo science

  • Right on

  • @finalprophet10 Hahaha, thats funny!, "people evolving out of religion??", riiiiight, thats why there is over 1 million people coming to christ every week statistically speaking.

And i know scientists with degrees in Physics, genetics and so forth and all of them are religious!, so that pretty much jams a boot up the arse of your little theory!.

And ummm dick head!, those fields of science actually back up the Bible

  • This vid pretty much downplayed the inquisition from a pit viper to a baby duckling......

    The atrocities were unspeakable.

  • The Inquisition of the Papal states (not the Spanish Inquisition as this is a sect of it) was formed a couple of hundred years earlier, and killed/tortured tens of millions of people over the centuries.

  • Reminds me of the judge who let the offender off with a lesser charge. Instead of 10,000 volts, he was electrocuted with only 5,000 volts.

  • The blood of the saints resides in the belly of the Vatican. Many scripture believing, messiah followers were killed by her hand. She still drinks from this cup today.

  • No one expects "The Spanish Inquisition"

  • Surprise and fear ... fear and surprise ... what's the other one?

  • Comment removed

  • The English church klled and tortured more people than Spanish Inquisition.

Also, the English Church. The church burned more than 10,000 English witchs, the Spanish Inquisition to burn only 30.

Also blasphemed offenders to be sentenced by the Spanish Inquisition, because was more lenient than the civil tibunales.

  • Lol are you actualy defending the inquisition? And keep in mind ONE IS AN RELIGION! The other is an organisation.

Not that i would want to stick up for protestant heratics but their you go...

  • heratics? Listen to yourself. It wasn't our church denomination who started with the inquisition. We actually dont believe in indulgeans or tortures. So whos the heretic? The Catholic church. A corrupt religion. Who is thristy of political power and blood. Who wishes to have a worldly kingdom and not a kingdom of GOD. Seing that theres actually an inquisition museum makes me upset. They should destroy that horrific place of SATAN.

  • The Spanish Inquisition caused the death and torture of all those native and non whom did not agree with its views. Non believers were beaten, tortured or had to pay hevy fines and taxes for their freedom- most just died!

.. reminds me of The Bush Administration.

  • la inquisision estuvo en peru, luego preguntamos porque los peruanos son diferentes?

  • christians were also killed and tortured by the Spanish inquisition!

  • Oppression such as the inquisition is always and only man who sought to control others through violence and fear. The church did not reflect the fact that Jesus was compassionate and Jesus said true followers of him would experience his realism through his own presence, the Holy Spirit. If Christians had known Jesus is with them to guide them,it would have been a different world.

  • I am spaniard and it is really a shame for our history and the actual catholic and protestant churches round the world.

but don´t forget that every country on the world, all of them have had an inquisition in that or other way.

Some of us,some "human" beings, are rubbish and disgrace.
