  • @Psyboyo It's on the website.

  • That is amazing how long did it take u to make that

  • @maisiechallis 2 months

  • THATS AWSOME IM USING IT FOR WARHAMMER

  • is it easy to break? I want to make a board game with a huge castle :P but I have to make it in a way so I can seperate the parts everytime I can. How anthetic foamcore is? I dont know shit about the materials I only know how to build it :)

  • @tzmakis unfortunately it is easy to break. The more layers of grout you add the stronger it will be.

  • @LizardLandscapes its too bad. you think wood or any other material can have the same result as yours?

  • @tzmakis it's possible.

  • @tzmakis Board for DeD?

  • i love modeling art, i'd love to start doing this, i have reed a lot, but i can't find this materials like polystyren :/ i can fint only in big orders for builders

  • @aja4079 I'm not sure about foamcore.

  • it dosnt work for pet rats .....

  • could you make a video as soon as possible showing how to make the blarney stone out of this same stuff plzzzzz??

  • @DeutschlandSiegHeil are you gonna seal it?

  • big dexter

  • @LizardLanscapes Hey I'm building this for a project that is due Friday. So far I have the walls glued and all. All i need to do is put on the grout. I bought some Sculpey, but how do I get those squares in there so precisely? I've tried twice but I just can't seem to get it like you did. Please answer back as soon as possible because I really need to know how to make those squares. thanks so much.

  • @BelizexXxGirl the web site has a longer version of this video that explains it a little better. You basically spread on thick grout, wait for it to dry -about 40 minutes, and then press in the sculpy mold.

  • Really good videos. I've been inspired.

  • Ok, I have a good question about Grout. How is cleanup? When you use it, do the newspapers and/or plastic bags get stuck to it? Or does it not stick to the platic bag type of surfaces? I'm just curious on how you keep the bottom edges smooth?

  • @TheJamesDun I will usually do the topside and then let it dry before I turn it over and do the other side. This way you're not letting a "wet" side sit on the plastic.

  • @LizardLandscapes Well, I was talking about runoff. I wouldn't be painting all sides at once either, but at the consistancy, wouldn't the runoff cause it to stick? I'm just surious of how this works out.

  • @TheJamesDun If you put it on a plastic bag to dry, then the runoff is easy to remove. The sealent is much more difficult, a grate would be ideal.

  • Ohh I need one to protect my lizard from knights!!!!

  • Really nice! This has great tips that I will use for my model castle.

  • could you make a castle with a mote that would be cool

  • Why do you finish all your sentences with three periods, it makes it seem like you don't care what we have to say.

  • @IAmCaptainPlastic Sorry, wasn't my intention. It actually is supposed to mean you're trailing off in a sentence.

  • i keep wanting to blow the sand off this lol but this a awsome structure really nice

  • all ur vids and creations are cool im subbing

  • hey does anybody know if u can use clay to make a reptile hide and if u could would you have to seal it

  • @XDAVIDX99 for the right price...

  • wow you have talent

  • this is awesome how much did it cost you to make? where did you get the styraphome?

  • @Link2point0 25 to 40$. Home Depot.

  • can i also use styraphome instead of what your using

  • @MoritzProductions Foam IS what i'm using...

  • how much would one cost?

  • Is it possible

  • Heyy could u make small ones for created gecko?? And is it was proof so the huminity won't get it all wet

  • You could scale it down for geckos. Yes it's water resistant...

  • cool music

  • great job, thanks for the tips

  • im looking to buid 1 for miniatures, so i think i would need mine to be a little more advance but this is awesome for a pet snake i have

  • I wish I had a lizard so I could build him one of these. Sadly I only have a cat who I don't think would appreciate a teeny castle, so I won't be making one. It's still an awesome video though.

  • v r

  • what is the goo?

  • freaking awsome!

  • cool im gonna make one so i will already have obne once my dragon gets a lil bit bigger caus this wont fit in the tank i have now

  • This is awesome I'm going to look on your site :) Hopefully you'll do stuff for geckos as I get my first gecko soon x

  • I love this idea. How much time did it take to put this project together?

  • Around 20 to 25 hours.

  • can you make me one of these and il pay you for it??

  • The Castle was one of the more time-consuming ones I've made. As I say on my website, it would have to be an offer I couldn't refuse.

  • what kind of knife did u use

  • A dollar store knife

  • is the liquid nails definitely safe to be stored in the vivarium? are the fumes dangerous to the lizard?

  • Any type of glue will be covered up by the many layers of grout, and then by the many layers of sealant. The sealant is very important.

  • awesome, may I ask you a question? OK, can groat be used or applied on castles made of plywood material?

  • I've not tried it before, so I can't say. The best thing to do is to test it out on a separate piece of plywood material and see if the grout will stick.

  • Great stuff thanks ! Wargamers would love this kind of build.

  • excellent job are u selling any of ur castles if u are please send me a link thankyou

  • im gonna use this for my history homework! Thanks alot!!!

  • would white sand go on gray with out having white sand make the gray look more white

  • you should put these on ebay i bet you would get a hell load of money :)

  • hi there...

i commented on another one of your videos aswell... "the fake rock wall!"

could you possibly give me a list of everything i will need to create such a sculpture?

for all your sculptures i mean...

im assuming you use the same thing for each one??

coz im going to give it a shot scene as yours look so good!!

  • Go to the FAQ page on my website.

  • what type of glu u use to make the polystyrene stick together??

  • Loctite power grab

  • can i use pva glu??

  • To glue the polystyrene pieces together -yes. To use it for sealant, I don't know. I do know other people have used pva for a sealer.

  • is it ok to use treated wood? i might use it for a bridge on a castle

  • I've not used treated wood before, but as long as you seal it -it might work.

  • 500 dallors for lizard temple cirket sacrifice thingy

  • Sold!!!

  • Two things:

    1. I made a fake rock temple thingy but I can't get grout in the corners of the ceiling and the styrofoam on the ceiling is still showing. How do I do that?

    2. did you sell the cricket sacrafice thing? or was it a joke.

  • does it have a base? I built mine without a base -easier to grout.

    I've sold one beffore.

  • hahhahhaha

  • yea

  • 30 dollars

  • HOW MUCH U WANT 4 IT

  • Make offer...

  • By the way where do you get the polystyrene

  • Home Depot

  • Oh yea btw i made a birds eye view of the castle it has Docks, barracks, pier, towers, houses, rich people villas, and walls

  • Send me some pictures when you're done.

  • Its gonna take a while but ill send pics when im done

  • Im gonna attempt to build a huge castle. but i want to make a hill for the castle to stand upon, any suggestions?

  • How huge? And is it for a lizard?

  • no, were talking 3 metes by 5 meters

  • I used a spray stone texture from Michaels Arts and Crafts that worked really well. Comes in many colors and has a rough stone look and feel just like stone. I used it on my Simba plastic castle. 5/5 stars.

  • where did u buy that spray?

  • What spray? The sealer? There's a link on my site.

  • i this is a reply on jerryr's comment, he says he has a kind of stone spray or something

  • what kind of lizard was it at the begin :D?

  • A bearded Dragon

  • cool

  • This is Really Very nice, Good job it looks amazing aswell, if my Vivarium was a bit taler i would deffo make one of theses they are exccellent!

  • i see, what kind of sealant can i use to make it submergeable ??

  • silicone.

  • wats liquid nails? and where did you get grout? is it water proof?

  • Liquid nails is a type of glue. I got the grout at home depot. It's water resistant not waterproof as in submergeable.

  • where do you get your styrafoam?

  • Home Depot

  • im going to go to retrevision and harvey norman and ask for that foam

i dont know how to spell it haha

i have aready made a back wall for a small lizard

back yard skind it wasd a beginner ilike a first time thing but this is te best idea this is my new hobby making these for my pets and when i get as good as you ill be selling them to my local pet store

    is that what you do?

that is good money because that foam is like worth nothing

    5 star video mate..

    thumbs up :)

  • It's actually too time consuming to be profitable.

  • yeah true but school holidays are comming soon im gonna try start make heaps in 2 weeks.

  • WOW. This is an amazing castle! If and when I get a beardie, I will definately come back to this video. Great job!!

  • soooo bad!!!!ure awsome!!

  • can you make me one and i'll buy it from you.?

i made a basking rock after one of you videos, but i dont feel like making another one. please respond.

  • can you seal it with pva glue?

  • I haven't done so, but I've heard of other people using that.

  • what type of grout are you using?

  • I use Polyblend -non-sanded.

  • is mosaic grout okay?

  • I think Mosaic grout is a lot more expensive, I'm not sure though.

  • hi, great castle. Do you have to have the bottom base for support or something? is it possible to make it without that and it still be sturdy?

Because I'm just thinking about when i want to get my lizard out!

It would just be a lot easier to lift it up rather than stick my hand in and try and find her!

    Thanks

  • You could definitely make it without a base, I considered that. In the video I do show the back completely open to be able to not only get a pet, but also to be able to reach areas for grouting and sealing.

  • Can we feature this some of your videos on our site. We make village landscapes and use styro foam alot.

  • Yeah that sounds cool.

  • Can we feature this video in our group? we make miniature landscapes and use a lot of styro foam. I really like your techniques.

  • can you name a specific store where you bought the styrofoam

  • I made that square thing. I made it out of a product called sculpy. The stuff I'm pushing it into is thick grout.

  • can you make a vid of how to make a waterfall or some sort? (if u can, if u could id be mightily greatful)

  • That's one I haven't tried yet...

  • Use salt as a waterfall instead of water.

  • howd u do the storm?

  • A combination of chromakey and lights.

  • can u wash(clean) the "fake rock" with water?? will it fade off?

  • I use a mixture of half water half white vinegar.

  • very good. If only i had watched this before starting on the one I am currently building.

  • if i payed you would you amke something for me plz plz how much would you want. ur works so cool but i dont think i could ever be as good as you!

  • They're just a little too time consuming, but I will entertain offers I can't refuse!

  • roc

  • BTW can you tell me how to make the mould for the brick effect?

  • I used "Sculpy", a fairly cheap product that you can mold like Clay (in this case carve), and then fire in your own home oven.

  • That's really cool. I might use that for my history project. Thanks!

  • this is neat. i think im going to use these steps for my world civ final project. thanks!

  • how do you keep it from denting? like even with a lot of grout on it. the right amout of pressure and dent it. How do i stop this from happening? There is already a lot of grout on it...
