Man so much controversial stuff!!!! I would rather spend my time left on this earth contemplating higher more advanced concepts, investigating the higher faculties of mind, not thinking about someone elses sexual orientation especailly if they have their own view and I will never be able to change their mind. If I let these issues antagonize my spiritual happiness, then that means I have just one more self-created problem to overcome later. But if controversy makes us happy then so be it.

What I find hard to believe is that there are actually people who even give even the slightest care whether Tom Cruise (or any other public figure) is gay, straight, x-ian, scientology or anything else. I think Scientology is far more refreshing than the ignorant lies that Christianity offers, but does anyone really care? And if so, WHY!? I think the reason people are so suspicious of Tom Cruise's sexual orientation is the fact that he flies off the handle if you even mention that someone else suggested it. Celebs usually have the PR training to just chuckle and give a polite "No, I'm very happily straight". It's the fact that he yells at interviewers, sues publishers, etc. So either he is gay and in denial, or he's dangerously homophobic - both circumstances are not a good place to be mentally OR as a role model to his fans.

Meh. I'm not worried, anyone who converts to a religion just because a celebrity is in it probably isn't great at making decisions anyway.

I STRONGLY doubt that scientology targeted them as a way to cure their homosexuality, since people didn't start accusing them of being closet gays until after they became scientologists. But that's probably just a coincidence, it's not like anyone's going out of their way to defame them for it or anything...
